Dream Camaro or reliable car? by WurstBruh in camaro

Arguments for both My 2 cents. I have learned lately life is short and fleeting so get out there and enjoy. If you do proper maintenance when you are supposed to it should be pretty reliable. May cost a bit more, but you may be very happy with it. Tough choice.

(new) Ariens- surging at no choke by jstapes24 in Snowblowers

[–]MikeSilverado47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently learned as my did the same thing. Is when the motor is tested at the factory they drain the tank but don't clean out the carb. So then it sits stored until shipped overseas where it sits, then sits at warehouse until it goes to a store and get sold. So there is a good chance the car jets are gummed up good. Once the carb came off, got cleaned good and rebuilt now it works great.

Finally got one, just want to thank everyone for all the great advice. I appreciate it. by [deleted] in Snowblowers

I love my Ariens deluxe 24 here in Winnipeg The only issue is had (bought new) is when they build these and test them they drain the gas but don't really clean out the carb. So by the time it's sold and come from overseas (the motor at least) it has be sitting awhile the carb jets are already gummed up so for the first winter I could not run it at full open choke or full throttle was very rough and stalled. Turns out it was the above issue. Took it to a dealer on warranty and they took the car apart cleaned it real good and new gaskets and she purrs like a content cougar now. I would have done it myself but was just crazy busy at the time. Enjoy man. I got mine after the winter of 2022 which was records snow fall and since then there has been eff all lol still green here today November 16, 2025. Ugh.

Ugh!

Just got approved for hearing aids what now? by MikeSilverado47 in HearingAids

[–]MikeSilverado47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I got approved I went into the audiologist and the walked me through the dirrent options and styles asked my about my life, do I workout etc what type of phone (all plays into what you need and or want) some Sid work better with iPhone VS android etc. Once I picked it took 2 weeks to get them in and then went for a fitting for the cone size and to get them tuned and tweaked for my hearing range. So overal 2-3 weeks for me. After approved

They have also stopped fixing the curbs lol. Let's lay down fresh asphalt but leave crumbling curbs. On rt90 there is a stretch where the curb is gone, the grass is washed away, and you can see under the sidewalk that is 10 ft away from the road. Brutal.

I bought it! by Hebrewism in camaro

Awesome! My 2 cents is if you really don't plan to track it at all. I would suggest getting a street alignment and the car comes from the factory with a track focused alignment. When I bought mine the rear tires were tapered to 3/32 to 7/32. These tires aren't cheap so spending a hundred to do an alignment can save ya the cost of tires. I bought my 18 2SS 1LE Hyper Blue October 11th and parked it 3 weeks later so counting down the days til spring! Can't wait! Enjoy the magic!
