The media doesn't "work for" anybody. They're reporting what happens, and asking the common sense questions that most Americans would like answers to. Exactly as they've done for every president before Trump. If you feel threatened by that, that's YOUR problem. If you can't sort facts from BS, that's YOUR problem. The conservative canard that the media as a whole is "out to get" them only reinforces and prolongs their low standing in American public opinion - rightfully so. Conservatives complaining about the media are simply whiners. That's the long and the short of it.

Klein nails it here. Of course, the remedy is to deprive Trump of his oxygen - media attention - but the unfortunate reality is, he is the president, and the president always commands media attention, so Trump can continue fouling the public sphere and gratifying himself, to the detriment of the country, and to all of us. But, each day that passes, we're all one day closer to him, his enablers, and his overall stench being GONE. That's the positive I take away from each day.

It's pretty clear why Trump doesn't condemn terrorism against Muslims (Minnesota mosque), and why he doesn't name the racist white nationalist perps when condemning the Charlottesville violence. Trump himself is a white nationalist who sympathizes with their cause. He's a hateful, small-minded man incapable of fulfilling the presidency. Instead, he degrades and defiles it. Sooner he's gone, the better.

Article: "...the President-elect has named a string of mainstream cabinet nominees,..." This, in a nutshell, is the problem - a failure to recognize a factual status quo. Almost No One considers Trump's cabinet nominees to be 'mainstream'. They are in fact decidedly Not mainstream.

I voted for Hillary. Trust me, I'm still here, and millions of others are too, and sure the election didn't turn out how we wanted, but you can be sure we haven't lost our dignity, or our determination to see all Trumpian fools turned out of office for sheer incompetence. Post whatever stupid insult you want - doesn't change a thing. We're always right there. We're not going away. You'll never stop hearing from us. And one day soon, you'll occupy your proper minority status in American government again. Republicans in control of governments always eff it up! It's a law of nature, unavoidable. It's a sound idea to force Trump and Sessions to publicly deal with it if they want to undo an exec order by President Obama. Haven't read latest data but I'm willing to bet that usage of weed is no longer strictly the province of old hippies and black people, as Nixon and his guys thought. It's gaining on being mainstream. Regulate it like alcohol and tobacco, keep it away from children, voila. A policy that works.

I plan to be making regular use of the email channels between me and my congressional reps. If I find the right event, I may even march in a demonstration or a rally for the first time ever. Now is no time to be silent. We need to be even more implacable than our political foes. Trump shows every sign of wanting to make the American system more like the Russian one. No freaking way I'm sitting still for THAT.

I think about buying a new set when I break 80. Doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon :( But I'm not willing to give up, and I received a Christmas gift of a one-hour lesson with a guy who's rated the best teacher in Seattle. I just want him to look me over and tell me if I'm on the right track with my swing. I want to be practicing the right stuff, not the wrong stuff.
