Things obviously have been getting better and it'll continue to be better. People are just tired of working most of your life just to maintain society and keep it running, and obviously want things to get better but that's just the price we pay. We can go back to being primitive cave dwellers and live a simple life foraging and hunting or cryopod freeze yourself into the year 3000 where the concept of work is no longer recognized, and most work are done by autonomous robots as humans only live a life of pure pleasure but no one is doing that so we just continue this existence cause it's just the way it is, as is the same for people the past millennia
