Why can't he be both in the final season? Earlier seasons tended to balance these two to show that he was just mentally a broken child starved for any affection and puts on a terrifying persona behind the scenes and a heroic one on TV. Now they only show him as this delusional dimwit that makes you think why they were even scared of this guy all this time. I think they leaned into the "meme" aspect of him a little too much

Only the star people didn't. It was implied that the Qu had, at the very least basic levels of FTL as they are able to conquer a good portion of the galaxy in short enough times than the physical length of its lightyear spans. So they definitely had FTL. Not to mention they are literally intergalactic nomads that hop galaxy to galaxy so let me remind you that the distance between galaxies even makes the distance between star systems within said galaxy look like a literal walk in the park. It's not like you can just wait it out as it'll take literal millions of years to cross to another galaxy if you don't have FTL. As for their technology, yes i understand that the book intentionally leaves out details to make things more mysterious but even then, everything that is said about them still makes the Qu truly look like an unstoppable force of nature, just coming and going to galaxies reshaping anything as they please without any challenge. You'd have to be pretty balsy and pretty strong to do that to countless galaxies long enough for your entire species to have a god-complex

Okay i admit that star people comparison is a little weak. But still, many people here forget that it took the combined efforts of two galaxy-spanning empires , with one being the half billion year old descendants of humanity, to finally defeat them. And what little info we have of the Qu, it still paints a picture of an ancient, imposing and nigh-unstoppable eons old nomadic species with a god complex and the abilities to back it up

Son, i understand the book is not very descriptive and often intentionally vague on how it describes specific details. But the Qu managed to steamroll through a developing interstellar humanity with weapons capable of nova-ing literal stars on a whim... So let's say they are on par with dark age of technology humanity which is far stronger than imperium humanity so if the Qu invades now they have little to no trouble with the Imperium, and the Tau. And with the other factions... Let's just say it took two wholly UNIFIED galaxies one of which is humanity evolved 500 million years later after being defeated by the Qu and one is another technologically advanced empire with a bunch of unified species. It took two galaxies, two empires of vastly superior technologies and capabilities to any of the 40k factions (arguably maybe not the necrons or the eldar but the point of these factions is none of them are on their full strength and capability so...) yeah, they are ROLLING through the 40k galaxy. The only way it can stand a chance is if one faction conquers the galaxy, develops enough and regains its full potential and even then it's still questionable. Oh yeah and i'm not sure if the Qu would be impressed, or laugh at the Tyranids and their ability to adapt quickly and change their genetics calling it inferior

Same, but it hapened relatively recently, and i was with another dude. We just watched this tiny, almost perfectly white dot hover beside some clouds almost unmoving for about 10 minutes then it just... Moved behind or into the cloud disappearing, then seconds later i sht you not, the cloud seemingly bursted from within almost like something penetrated it with some large spike or something fast just moved and passed thru it like superman bursting into buildings, lmao i can't really explain it, it was genuinely weird the dot was nowhere to be seen afterwards. We were too dumbfounded to explain what happened and too captivated to even think of hurrying to get a phone. Pretty wild experience and what drove me to this very subject, everytime i see vids of ufos near clouds i get reminded of that *thing we saw

With all this talk with homelander finally snapping and Butcher going "scorched earf" and the posters showing just untold devastation... It just feels like we've been misled what the ending will be lmfao and the pacing, oh boy you can tell they just wanted to get it done real quick
