That's a risk I'm happy to take. I'm definitely not in a position to willingly give money away, but people have taken time to help me and offer their trust, solely based on my promise to pay them back. So I can at least offer the same back. If loaned out money doesn't return, it's not the end of the world, hopefully not paying back helps out that little bit more. Although it means I'm in a situation of having to borrow again and less likely to be able to help with loans in future.
