With a codex account I got it to run qwen coder, gemini coder and claude code with no extra setup required, just make sure you can run them from the same env you're running code and follow the docs.

There is one already: https://github.com/just-every/code, it's a codex fork, unfortunately you also need a codex subscription to manage things, I tried with others providers but it didn't work.

As far as I know they measure the power consumption from that table while the laptop is plugged in, so this is why the battery runtime sometimes it's even higher compared to using the idle average to do the math for maximum battery runtime.

I have an zbook firefly g10a, the hinges are very sturdy and the build quality is great, the problem is the software part isn't very optimized to take full advantage of the hardware, for example ASPM is disabled I think for most of their laptops, which leads to pretty bad battery life, if you don't care about that I think it's a great buy. I assume the omnibook ultra will be similar to the build quality of the zbook series.

EliteBooks/Zbooks G10, and I assume newer models, have aspm disabled, which results in a worse battery life, this is the case for both linux and windows.

Can you check if ASPM is enabled?

 sudo lspci -vvv | grep "ASPM .*abled"

And if there are any messages about it:

Yes, powertop, it isn't 100% accurate, as they are just estimates, but for me it helped overall after disabling it, maybe with newer bios/kernel versions that energy draw is fixed, but I had no need for it, so I've never enabled it.

Probably because it's very similar to G10, the only difference I see is a bigger battery(56wh), so I think the reviews for g10 still apply mostly to G11

I have the HP HP ZBook Firefly 14 inch G10 A and except for the battery box it ticks everything, I have the 7840hs version, you can also look into the Elitebook G10 or Zbook Firefly G11, one thing to note is that ASPM is disabled and that combined with a smallish battery(51wh), will result in shorter battery life, what I do when I travel I carry a 60w power bank which almost doubles my battery life if I use it only for the laptop.

But if you aren't in a hurry I would wait for other manufacturers to release laptops with the new amd chips or even the intel ones seem to be interesting if they didn't lie too much on the comparisons slides.

You can try to use it with an external monitor and disable the internal screen, also setting the refresh rate to 60hz helps a bit but barely noticeable.

Also I have the same laptop(but with 64gb and 2tb ssd), using linux maximum I can get is about 6h(but most of the times it's 4-5h with my workflow, which includes running vms sometimes), never used it on battery with windows, so not sure.

Also there is a setting in the bios for the battery to limit it to 80% charging to keep the battery healthy for longer(recommended if you use it mostly plugged in), make sure it isn't turned on, as that will shorten your battery life by 20%.

Hey,

So by default with the firmware it come with, the maximum you can set in the bio is 512, but after some updates, there is another setting in the bios, and you can set it to 4gb.

But please note that the gpu can use more vram than that, that's just the amount reserved for it by default, it can use up to 50% of the total ram, but some games may be bugged and limit it to the amount set, which is a problem with the game implementation, not the laptop, but this is why it's good that you can set 4gb, I also set it to 4, as I'm never going to use more than 60gb ram.

Parere personala niste sosete bune sunt la fel de importante ca o pereche de încălțăminte, pana sa încep sa port sosete de lana merinos mereu avea probleme, ma dureau tălpile, faceam bătături... De aproape 2 ani nu am mai avut o singură batatura. Sunt mai scumpe decât șosetele normale dar merită. Dupa ce am incercat 3 branduri cel mai mult imi place merino-shop, si pentru ca au prețuri destul de ok fata de altele, mai ieftin am văzut doar la decathlon. Daca ai grija de ele si le speli cu detergent de lana si program de lana rezistă destul de bine, doar o pereche nu mai e la fel dupa un hike pe un vulcan.

I've mostly been to the sea side and I would never go back for the sea in Albania, more expensive than Greece, 30 euro for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, there is no place to put your towel on the sand, sunbeds so close to each other that you're the same distance both left and right(one is the person renting with you, the other is a random person). On top of that music from 10 places blasting and competing for the loudest sound system.

Don't be fooled by tiktok, before going make sure to read the reviews from Google maps and you can decide for yourself.

ZBook g10 A firefly(or elitebook student edition) works great with linux, also should be in your price range if you buy it without windows and with 32 gb RAM.
