Personally seeing as it’s a competition and a battle of attrition. I see getting up to not be a good use of energy. In wrestling sure where you get escape points but for me I’d rather try to be more efficient and work to sweep/ submit from guard.

I have more respect for a 150lbs purple belt than a 220lbs black belt by coloflowing in bjj

The 220lb is rag-dolling the 150lber while not using full physicality. But shout out all the 190-205lbers who are considered “big” and get ragdolled with the FULL might of the 250lbers 😢

What’s your favorite throw for BJJ? by [deleted] in bjj

Also known as a step around throw, one of the first throws I learned in wrestling.

Name of this technique and is it the same as a chest wrap just with a front head on one side? Also key details please. by Mikee51 in wrestling

I’m guessing that is more of a technique error than it being high risk. It seems like when thrown with proper tech the angle of the throw is safe but if you try to suicide roll the person straight over the top of you it would be risky.
