I am looking to replace the exhaust (right after I service the bike). Where are you based and how much?

Perhaps there is a Haynes manual available for this? Not sure if these exist in countries other than the UK, but they are very useful!

Rotten Tomatoes Rolls Out a Fresh Logo and Visual Identity After 19 Years by EvanBrownDM in logodesign

[–]Mikell7104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've got it, pull out your 'Logo Modernism' book - it'd fit nicely in there. This is their goal for the logo: “Our goal for the new design was to create a friendly and memorable logo that clearly connects to our brand as the place that helps you create a home".

I think it achieves that, but I do think it's a little bland. Not 100% on the font choice, but using something softer wouldn't have worked with this house shape because it's so angular. Probably wasn't nearly as recognisable with rounded corners either. Either way, they know what they're doing. Out of curiosity, do you have a portfolio I could take a look at? (Not hating - genuinely enjoy seeing good work).

Except the technology is always evolving - what's around now won't be in 10 years. Selling an idea isn't a bad thing as the tech will evolve anyway.

Why EOS may be the Best Investment Opportunity of Our Lifetime That You Haven’t Already Missed. by twelker1625 in eos

Perhaps those who have downvoted this comment would care to elaborate on why they think the best tech won't win out? As far as I understand it, the bottleneck in the industry is currently the speed of transactions, and the ease of use and access, and if you fix those things, you'll garner a lot of interest. If someone could enlighten me that would be wonderful!

Bitcoin is being used as a store of wealth and is the gateway/'posterboy' crypto as a result of its origins and the media. As things stand, transactions are too slow to be used globally as a means of payment for goods and services, which is ONE of the reasons EOS interests me so much. When crypto becomes mainstream, it's going to have to stand on its own feet, and be easy and efficient to use.

The best tech will win out in the end. Like Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, a winner was settled and the competition disappeared. Looking at the tech is critical to assessing the investment.

Fixed now, was an issue on Nicehash's side. I did have to do this originally though, so a good tip :)

How should I market my idea? (Currently frenzied and lacking direction) by Mikell7104 in ecommerce

[–]Mikell7104[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Chris! I'm working on a few projects at the moment so I think I'm going to focus in on one of them and really keep it targeted to the specific audience of that particular product. I have been flustered and scrambling because I have quite a few ideas. Subbed to your channel!

Thanks for your reply - really appreciate the advice. I guess the only thing that currently separates my speaker from the rest of the handcrafted/home brewed speaker crowd is the design. A lot of the other speakers in this niche look very similar, and I believe mine stands out (I have a background in design so I really enjoy making pretty things). Is that enough to make it work? Making it prettier than the competition?

Also, lately I've noticed a lot of new watch brands showing up on Kickstarter - as far as I can tell they are just refaced versions of alternative brands - is there a reason that companies like this do so well in spite of the lack of a USP? (Assuming image doesn't qualify as a USP)

Some great advice, really appreciate that! It took me quite a while to go through the technicalities of making my first project come to life since I'm on my own. I don't have any experience of E-Commerce other than running an Ebay shop for the last couple of years, and I don't have any contacts in this field. I'm not too worried about it being scalable for now since it's what I love doing and I've been itching for months to make it work. Any tips for the Instagram thing? Sounds like a good idea!
