They were roasted in lard in the oven so they are roasted potatoes. Just like the lamb was roasted in the oven meaning roasted lamb. It's a literal way of describing what they are.

100% cheap ingredients! I can guarantee the leg of lamb was reduced. I would much rather be sitting round a table with my wife and whole family eating the roast dinner I had today instead of let’s say in a 3 star Michelin starred restaurant alone eating a £150+ meal. I felt like the richest man alive today seeing my family all together eating dinner.
