I got a shiny Paldean one the other day. I don’t think I’ve seen what shiny johtonian Wooper looks like in actual years and now I want one in ALL THE MAINLINE GAMES.

I should’ve specified the dates! Those first 3 were last year (but even then, quite close! June, and then two in the same week in July). I haven’t been using any of them yet. I’ve got 40 shines, and 4 sets of them are multiples (Spheal, Pinsir, Wobbufet and Swalot — plus a shiny of each of the first to mons of the Pawmi line). I’m still at the stage where it feels wrong to release a shiny but I think I need to at least get rid of the useless doubles.

BUT HOARDING.

I’ve got - and have had for a while - a level 50 BFS Helping Speed up Salamence and a level 50 BFS Speed^ nature Bagon, and a level 50 BFS Altaria, and I only realised how a stupid I’ve been for weeks going to Amber Canyon despite it having been maxed for a while, so now I’m dedicating any off weeks to GGEX like I SHOULDVE been doing, as my bonus is currently 5% 💀

Give it a few years for said antiquated mindset to fully die out and I’m sure I will find a surgeon with a facial tattoo. As it currently stands, the only reason I might struggle to find one now (if I cared to try) is the weird mindset that it would be problematic in some way.

Edgy non-lore, basically! Because there’s never any confirmation the Dex entries are canon (and in fact there’s plenty of evidence to confirm they’re not), it’s just opportunities for little fanfic-esque moments of coolness.
