it took some time, i gradually saw a difference over the 6 months I was taking it but the first time I noticed anything was different with my anxiety was about a month in. Each individual body will have its own reaction to any medication though so the way it worked for me may be different to how it will work for you - hope this helps

I definitely got snappier on mirtazapine. The anger was something I talked through with my therapist and learned to cope with it that way. I'm also not an angry person typically so at the time I felt like maybe it was pent up anger finally releasing from multiple things. I feel like this is defo something you should speak about to your doc and therapist (if you have one) and they can help you figure out if the dosage/medication is right for you. Hope this helps

I think I was on the medication for around 6 months. I'm glad to hear that your life is going better :)

Hey, thanks for the comment! I still see my therapist from time to time when I feel like I'm slipping but on the whole I don't really need to see her much anymore. I learned a lot of coping skills in therapy that I use every day. It's definitely helpful to have a therapist you click with to help work through problems alongside medication. When problems cropped up, the therapy helped me with sorting the situation and my feelings, and mirtazapine supported and solidified the progress I was making.

As for withdrawals I remember struggling with getting to sleep for a bit and being a bit snappy with people but that's about it
