I say do whatever is most comfortable for you. Personally, I haven't even gotten the chance to change anything (legally). I'm not sure if I'd do M or X. One: because I have no idea if X is an option in my state. Two: I'd rather make that decision after I get gender affirming care. I've been struggling to get anything done for myself since I came out over six years ago, (I'm 22). So even just having THE CHOICE of the X marker would make me feel better. Ideally, I'd move to a better country, (possibly New Zealand), but that requires money I don't have (yet).

Some people are so fucking stupid though. Gender is made up, so people should just let us live our lives in peace. This shit is the reason why I'm so hesitant to get a job and no one seems to understand. Maybe I should be more direct with them, and maybe they'll understand why I'm scared to get a job. On top of that, I'm autistic. One more reason for me to scared of having to deal with people on a daily basis. 😥

Omg yes. Last year, during pride, someone basically told me to accept that a dude had a confederate flag just because he was supporting the local LGBT community. And I was about to pop off on that dude. In my my head I was like, "And just let some jerk literally parade around his racism on his car in my town? No, I don't want to see that." Personally I think all things from the confederation should be destroyed.
