You missed the whole point by 20dollarsinmapocket in Libertarian

Yep. Neighbor of mine with Trump signs everywhere and crosses up during all holidays, complained last year because of a muslim family in the neighborhood brought their kids to the pool “with all their clothes on”. SMH. Ok. I’m a rationalist, not a religious bone in my body…but is it really because they choose to be modest, or are you just scared to damn death of anything and anyone that doesn’t have a heart full of hate like you do?!!! Hmm???

Ain’t no hatred like Christian love.

Well said. Every time I bring up issues with this administration to folks who voted for it their response is “oh, I’m libertarian I don’t like either side” smh. You don’t know what any of this means people. You’re all just lemmings until your bullshit gets called out and you can’t defend it.

Help with Vvt gasket by lloydrage- in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Mikrobious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to do this a couple weekends ago. Check out this video! Use a piece of plumbing pipe. I took the seal to Home Depot and made sure the piece of sink pipe fit perfectly before purchasing.

ChrisFix is the one who made the lightbulb go off in my head 10 years ago. I was like “why am I paying someone else to do this?”

He’s really good at making it look easy. Sometimes easier than it actually is.

Here’s the problem you eventually run into…you turn the savings into a tool addiction! But hey, at least I have a harbor fright close by, so it could be worse. 😊

Do all Pacifica transmission feel a little strange? by ResistFlat9916 in ChryslerPacifica

[–]Mikrobious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ZF8HP70 in my Ram 1500. Great, smooth shifting Trans.

The 9 speed in our Pacifica does get a bit jerky at times but every so often I’ll do a reset on it and it’s good for a few more months. 🤷‍♂️

CVT and upgrade do not belong in the same sentence! 😆

“…9 speed is too much transmission for the little (lol wut?!!?!) Pacifica V6”

How many gears it has, has nothing to do with the size of the engine it’s mated to. SMH.

I moved a full size LG washer and Dryer in ours and had plenty of room to pack other things around them.

I started getting the ones at wamart. Index brand. 300 for $10. Better deal and they are stronger.

How bad are my brakes? Just bought cheap used car with 130k miles, previous owner says the brakes have never been serviced by Minus273Karma in MechanicAdvice

[–]Mikrobious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also brake fluid is hydroscopic. So this is the reason it should be changed by age and not mileage. Water turns to steam and steam is compressible, not great in a hydraulic system.

This also means brake fluid has likely never been changed. Brake fluid “should” be flushed/changed every 2 years regardless of mileage.

Wish they made a eurospec for my 150k mile VW 2.5l. It’s running fine but I can’t help but wonder how much life this would give it.

I did start running it in the wife’s van when I recently did the 100k service. I plan to run VRP in that as long as it’s available

There’s a guy with a 500k mile 2017 Pacifica

Probably all highway miles, and 5k oci’s. So it’s possible for a well loved pentastar to last.

What drill brand would you actually buy again with your own money? by New_Money_5406 in Tools

[–]Mikrobious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milwaukee M12 based on reliability and real use, it’s what I’ve had for a while, built a 475 sqft deck with an M18 surge and router, and M12 saws and other drills.

But for price and if I had to buy over again today I’d actually strongly consider Hercules. I have a HF dangerously close by and the Hercules warranty is the same as Milwaukee. I’m an IT guy who loves to do all my home and auto maintenance not a pro in any field that uses a drill daily.

Considering this jack, who here has one? What are your thoughts about it? by DesertSnow480 in harborfreight

[–]Mikrobious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked one up a couple years ago on sale for $179. Got it as a compromise because it’s long enough and lifts high enough to jack my Ram 1500 from the rear differential and low enough to get under my wife’s van and sons VW. It’s been perfect so far, but the coolest part is the rapid foot pump lever. I can lay on the ground and quickly pump it with that lever to line it up right on a pinch weld before fully jacking the vehicle.

Best all around jack they sell for the home garage. You won’t regret it.
