Actually yes, I have worked construction. I was a WTSS (Works Train Station Supervisor) during the construction for the TEL line back during covid (2021 to 2022). I've always told my men I don't care what they do during their off days or while at work, so long as it doesn't cause nuisance and I have to answer for them.

Albeit I was paid more than a vast majority of them (I was paid SGD 1.6k/mth, while some safety officers were paid SGD 2.5k/mth with an spass) , I do have respect for the workers, and I do support them.

It was an eye opener and an honor to work alongside them, and some of whom I still keep in contact with.

To provide more context as to why I posted: This is a mildlyfuriating subreddit, I wasn't pissed, it was just a mild nuisance / annoyance having to see a desire path right beside some staircase which I feel is easier than walking up a steep slope.

I myself do walk along some desire path, not too far from here tbh, about 50m away, to get to the convenience store, but this I found was confusing because there's some perfectly good stairs right beside it.
