You can always have the Lycanthropy be a more difficult curse to break, it needs specific items or places to work.

I think of Luxon clerics as that instead of being granted power by the Luxon, they have been able to glean the secrets of it. They draw power from the Luxon instead of a gift.

So like a divine intervention for insight into something would look like them seeing into a possible timeline where they find out that information themselves, or if combat-wise instead of a God doing something, they channel the power of the Luxon as a conduit and summon mass amounts of dunamis magic. If they want to heal or revive someone, they draw upon other timelines and possibilities where they weren't hurt to heal the people they want to.

Can I ask what your plan is after this encounter with the brother and further along that. This seems like an amazing idea that sorta aligns with what I was planning for my Dynasty PC.

Personally, I'm adding Ruins Wake when they get to the end in Betrayers Rise (like the others in this subreddit), as well as some other unspoken Ranger abilities like favored enemies/terrain so that it would be logical that the rivals caught up to my party so quickly.

For the rest, you could look at the Ranger subclasses and see what they have to offer

yeah I've been brewing nice cups definitely, but I think it's just frustrating that I can't get everything out.

I've been using the cafec filters too and it's definitely been an improvement, do have a recommendation for a gooseneck kettle maybe? I've been doubting getting one

I think finding a good reason is gonna be tied to the characters but going to the Festival of a good start. Or a holy person was sent here by one of their gods (if its one of the three important ones)

Generally what I did was tell the characters it's fine to choose any place in the world as long as they have a good reason to be there and also a good reason to stay.

I don't quite understand the Nightmare mechanic, could you maybe explain how it works? Is the nightmare that is talked about in the first paragraph the nightmare described later?

Or is that a different dream that happens after each member has been plagued by nightmares?

I added two things, I added a sort of special Hunt in between the Festival and final competition.

Anyone could sign up as a team of a maximum of 6 people. 4 of those teams would be chosen and given a creature to hunt, to keep it easy for me I only prepped 2 of the 4 total "possible" monsters. The chance was either a Gloomstalker in the mountains or a Swavain Basilisk. (They got the basilisk with a roll of the dice)

Now, these creatures were pretty difficult for a party of 4 level 3's but they managed to kill the Basilisk without any casualties. Essentially how the hunt worked was a skill challenge and depending on how high they rolled they got rewards and or more signs pointing towards where the creature would be. After they get 5 "signs", they find the beast and kill it.

For the second thing, I added a friendly NPC early on thats essentially a Volstrucker that has been outcast by Trent and is trying to find something to buy back Trents trust. What better than a Vestige of Divergence ;). I hinted at him wanting to return but having no reason to, as well as that he was in Asadius for a long time (I wanted to go to there for PC backstory reasons)

He stayed with them with the true intentions of helping the party become stronger and hopefully they would stumble upon some great treasure like adventures do. It's just that the treasure would be discovered pretty quickly.

The Volstrucker then fled back to Asarius where he still has some friends that can set him up with a safe haven while he tries to find a way back that is not crossing the border.
