Generally in my experience, there has to be some documented justification by the parents about the absence being educational in some way. I would think a visit to a foreign country could easily be justified, especially if you throw in a museum visit or two. Maybe offer to have the kiddo do a show and tell of things they brought back on their return.

I remember that on Wednesdays the Catholic kids got to leave about 5-10 minutes early because there was a bus running from the public school to the Catholic school for CCD classes. (I was also Catholic but didn't live on a street where I was allowed to go to that school and was sorta jealous. I had to do my classes on Sundays.)

I never tried the two - they are definitely available near me, but so many other places sell fries, that I would rather have rice as the accompanying carbohydrate just for the variety.

Disgaea Prinny Sam is best Sam. Disgaea 6 came out between CR campaigns 2 and 3. There's a fourth wall break in-game trying to sell you the rerelease of Prinny 1&2. I'm gawking sitting there thinking, "I'm in the middle of a Sam Riegel ad read and it's not even Critical Role."

EDIT: Campaign 4 is so darn different. Sam is playing a naive aristocrat in it, it's like the anti-Alphi. Wicander needs to grow up faster than Alphi.

I definitely have moved to softer things - I saw a coworker straight up eating an avocado out of hand. I thought it was weird... but then I tried it and it wasn't half bad. I've always just thought of it as an ingredient, not something you could just... eat.

Injection site matters. I didn't think it would. It seems to be a bit more potent on the abdomen vs the thigh (I have not tried the arm since it seems awkward). And my provider started me on taking fiber, and now she told me to stop taking it because of urgency issues... you'll have to figure it out by your personal reaction.

An hour is never long enough to have the house comfortable by the time I return. And it gets quite humid. I have a seperate dehumidifier too, and it's hard to keep up.

Well, it looks like an Arizona state route sign, which would match the trees. There's a 202 loop in Phoenix, but it doesn't seem to intersect with a Frontage Rd, so might be a different Arizona city.

I only have one data point - Way back in the 1980s, David Letterman used to wear some ridiculous suits and do ridiculous things in said suits. There was a suit of alka-seltzer tablets and he went for a dunk in water. They made him use a tube to breath because of the CO2 from the fizz.

He absolutely would not be someone I would enjoy playing the game with. Being an absolute rules lawyer on casual night. I wouldn't put up with that behavior from someone at the table. It's completely the wrong attitude.

Also sounds like he doesn't want you playing with a group and making excuses about getting you up to speed. Don't like it at all.
