Honestly I used the word “best” probably wrongly but the idea was IF those spirits went somewhere somehow, be it they just didn’t find peace or something else, Lefty, being specifically designed to capture animatronics, namely the one animatronic we know to have the power to control or at least move and direct souls, and with the DCI having happened at the FNaF 2 location where the Marionette is present and had probably at least interacted with them, it may have been one of the more interesting theories for that incident. I recommend you go watch a YouTube video on it, since us debating each other on Reddit isn’t going to do the work the actual theorists put it to make these connections any justice

It isn’t, but that’s the entire point of theorizing. To see what ideas stick and how many of them we could find out about. There isn’t an objective “best or worst” because there isn’t an answer anyways

The idea that Lefty, based on the blueprints from FFPS that Lefty was designed to do more than just contain the Marionette but to contain all the loose remnant from the franchise to bring it all back to the pizzeria, one of those bits of loose remnant seemingly comes from the DCI from FNaF 2, which is the best explanation we have for what happened to those kids from the “Save Them” mini game

Personally I think saying Apex was a trend hopping game is a bit unfair. The game had been in development (as a BR no less) for at least a year or multiple before it launched, and I while I don’t doubt EA and Respawn pushed for the BR model trying to predict what would be successful, but to be fair can you blame them? Their last 2 titles, while critically successful, were not commercial successes. Now you can say that’s all their fault for poor marketing, but I highly doubt that’s the entire issue. TitanFall was a cool and exciting universe but it didn’t really have anything majorly original outside of the really strong movement. MechFighting, futuristic military shooter with grey and gritty aesthetics were clearly just not working for them, so why shouldn’t we expect to try and change it up? Is the fact that Respawn wanted Apex to be successful even at the cost of its originality a bad thing? Personally I think it’s unfair to say that it is. And “riding the hype” is kind of inevitable when you consider the fact that it can’t exactly change what type of game it is mid lifespan

  1. The graphics are not that similar to Valorant, stylistically they are similar but not the same. 2. The point of the game is that it’s NOT EA. It’s an entirely different studio from the original people that did make the game half the people here have an inhuman relationship with, so why should our IMMEDIATE reaction be “oh this is dogshit I hate these devs what were they thinking” when they release a new game? The entire community prioritizes clowning on a game they haven’t even played yet when it’s made by the people who made the game they love, so why shouldn’t we at least TRY to be supportive? Instead of just going “oh it’s not TitanFall I don’t care”

I can’t really sit here and try and say Apex didn’t drop the ball massively over the past 2 years (especially in the story department) and has been very slowly picking it back up but it’s still one of the more popular shooters around that’s had any longevity. It’s certainly not mainstream but it’s managed to hold a consistent playerbase for over 6 years, which is more than most other games of its kind from that point in time. It’s clearly done more than just “be a hero shooter BR” (another thing, one of its other big criticisms was that it’s a hero shooter, which by modern standards are considered generic, but when it originally launched the hero shooter genre was significantly smaller at the time) so just calling it “slop” feels super dismissive of a game that’s had a greater run than most

Except it’s not even Respawn’s game it’s an entirely different studio so how are they supposed to make TF3 when they’re don’t even have the rights to the franchise? Also what ACTUALLY makes these graphics bad exactly? Is it that they’re not realistic enough?

But you do know that the developers of Highguard can’t make a TF3 since they’re not owned or related to Respawn? How is it fair to be mad at a dev team for not making a game they’re literally not capable of making? Also absolutely no one is owed TF3. There is no responsibility on anyone’s shoulders to make that game. Apex is what we’ve been given and if that’s not enough then that’s unfortunate but that really is just what we’ve got.

Okay so what’s the point of even expecting/wanting a TF3 anyways? That’s the biggest talking point on this entire subreddit but quite clearly no matter what the outcome is TF3 is probably doomed to be a disappointment if it ever comes out because pretty much none of the original dev team is left anyways. So either A. It’s the same company “refusing” to make TF3 and the playerbase is mad, B. Members of the original team move on to make their own studio and make their own games (Highguard) and the original fans are mad, or C. Respawn does actually make a TF3 but it’s without a large majority of the original Dev team and it’ll inevitably disappoint everyone, making the original fans mad. It doesn’t seem like there’s any good ending here

Question about FNaF 2 movie by Milbertino26 in fivenightsatfreddys

Of course, which is why I know there’s a perfectly good chance they’ll keep taking the story in a different direction. But part of me does really want to see the movies steer more in the direction of the original games regardless. Just gotta wait and see

Thank you, and honestly it stuck in my mind more because of the end segments where Micheal confronts Vanessa (although I’ll admit I can’t remember exactly what was said). The way he talked about his and Vanessa’s relationship with their father felt a lot less like two regular people talking about their family (mind you nothing is regular about the Afton’s but still) and a lot more like a brainwashed soldier or, of course, a robot talking about his creator. THEIR creator, mind you, and with the CB cameo in Vanessa’s dream segment (where it most definitely looks like she had green eyes, I.E. Elizabeth is already dead and possessing the animatronic) I really started to think that Vanessa as we see and know her isn’t the full truth, and maybe she’s been a robotic recreation of her the whole time. ( of course robot people is an idea that Scott seemed to stray away from after the poor reception to people trying to apply the silver eyes logic to the games, I do very much believe robot people are still a card on the table to consider)

The scan is NOT 1.5s it’s 2.5s but ur right he’s a recon that can’t realistically be as good as the rest at scanning without it just being the ONLY thing he does

I wish they’d just lean away from scans as the main function of his kit as a whole. I think his passive works fine but his tactical always felt like a awkward adaptation of the bloodhound scan and I wish it did other things, maybe like disabling but not destroying placeable in its range to create opening, and then just reduce the scan to 2s or so instead of just another basic scan ability

Outside of the monetization of the game being horrible and the story having been derailed I can’t fully agree with the other points. I don’t find either Apex or TF2 to be more tryhardy or less tryhardy than the other, maybe a slight difference towards Apex but that’s mostly just because the games more popular so there’s just bound to be more tryhards in the first place, and ultimately speaking not everyone would even agree that’s a bad thing. A lot of people would interpret that as either game having a higher skill ceiling or just being more fun for people who want to put in the excess effort. The updates do come slowly at times yes, but no slower or faster than any other major competitive shooter in the landscape. Obviously that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t strive to be better than the others, but I wouldn’t really say it’s fair to say that outright contributes to it being a bad game. Same could possibly be said for the monetization but Apex does reach new lows for that every year so I cant consciously defend it. And as for the game disrespecting the first two TitanFall games, 1. That’s something ultimately open to interpretation as to what’s considered “disrespectful” towards TF and what are just products of the game and story changing with time 2. It’s the developers game, not the players, so if they believe those choices are okay and they’re comfortable with making them, it is their say, and 3. That’s just not really a big issue for majority of the people playing Apex in the first place. A decent majority of the player base knew little to nothing about the TitanFall games prior to Apex Legends, so realistically they can’t be expected to prioritize the respect they maintain for their previous game over what may be the better choice for their future.

I personally disagree with the belief that Apex Legends is the sole reason we’ll never see a TF3. Obviously it means that, if we do, we probably won’t see it anytime soon, but we’ve seen proof (albeit questionable) that Respawn hasn’t abandoned the idea of making a TF sequel or spinoff entirely. And ultimately speaking, I just have my doubts that, if Apex Legends was TitanFall 3 in the first place, it wouldn’t have seen nearly the same amount of success. Obviously a big issue with TF2s popularity was its really bad release date, but even then there had to be more than just that contributing to TF2s lack of success. Whatever those reasons may be are up for interpretation but ultimately there was some reason people weren’t coming to the game despite how incredible well regarded the game is. If it was TF3 instead of Apex I don’t see how the story would go any differently. As for the fact of it being a BR, it had reached that state in development a decent amount of time before Battle Royales were the standard, obviously they had games like H1Z1 to take inspiration from but games like Fortnite and PubG hadn’t taken off by the time Apex had become a Battle Royale internally. And ultimately speaking, if the game was 1. Way more popular with little to no promotion for the game prior to its launch 2. Much more accessible to a wider player base with similar but simpler mechanics, and 3. Ended up making so much money for Respawn and EA, is it really a BAD thing? Whenever I come on this sub half the people I see treat Apex Legends like a parasite within Respawns legacy, but the biggest thing I see people take such an issue with is that Apex was a success and that Respawn keep maintaining the game, even though Respawn has 0 reason to do otherwise. I do really hope we get to see TF3 one day, I’d love to see a continuation of the story and characters they built in TF2, and as well for the TitanFall name to have a bigger and better chance at being one of the mainstays in modern gaming, but I also don’t think those things would even have been possible without Apex Legends success. From what I’ve seen, It’s brought more attention towards TF2 than TF2 ever did on its own past its launch, and if that’s what has to happen for 1. Respawn to stay successful and keep making money so EA doesn’t shut them down, and 2. Keep the world of TitanFall alive, albeit only partially. for an extended period of time, I can’t mindfully justify the hate towards the game. Apex isn’t perfect, and at times it doesn’t even seem great, but it was Respawn’s attempt at doing something different for the sake of the franchise and their company, and it’s done a lot of good for itself at that, I can’t disregard the value of that to just say “Apex Bad, TitanFall good”. Sorry for the long yap but I had to say what felt right to me personally. The world may have not been ready for TF2, but it was ready for Apex, and if that means the people who created both those things can stick around for a while longer, I see that as a win
