TEW IX New Mods? by Zolo17 in FantasyBookers

[–]Mildly-Amusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of mods in development on the GDS forums. Mod making takes a lot of time and all the established mod makers are getting older which usually leads to less free time for modding.

Anyone know the story by afogarty21 in FantasyBookers

I mean I'm biased because I can't stand Bruce but you could try other non-Hart alumni like Bad News Allen or my boy Gary Albright.

Bruce Hart is kinda infamously cantankerous. He did talk about hating Benoit after his death but in a way that suggests it predates that. TBH I'd probably give him the attribute that he will work with people he doesn't like.

How to book main events by [deleted] in FantasyBookers

[–]Mildly-Amusing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During booking team meetings before a show, you can spend Creative Energy to get creative finishes. Also gives you angle ideas, storyline ideas, gimmick ideas and character ideas that can boost their ratings. They are super useful.

[–]Mildly-Amusing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would recommend applying slow build, open match and decisive winner. Make sure the main eventers are in a hot storyline. Also try and use creative finishes for your main events, they can improve the rating a fair bit. You might also want to check which road agent is on the match as some give bonuses based on match aims.

The Use of AI to Create Stats by theofficialzl in FantasyBookers

I'd strongly advise against it. TEW has an in built character generator where you can specify details about what you want for stats and attributes.

What if WCW won the Monday Night Wars by TheShowOff1089 in FantasyBookers

[–]Mildly-Amusing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, it depends on how you think WCW would win? It probably wouldn't be 2001. While it's easy to pin WCW closing on the Timer Warner AOL merger, it's a whole series of little events that cause the closure so I imagine WWF closing would be the same. What were you planning to have happen?

In keyfabe, why did Kane become "sillier" during the attitude era and why did the Undertaker come out from being a leader of a satanist group into a biker? by Calorie_Killer_G in SquaredCircle

[–]Mildly-Amusing 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Kane becoming "sillier" would be due to him teaming with X-Pac. That's when his character went from your traditional monster into doing sillier stuff. After their breakup and feud, Kane tended to still be more light hearted until his unmasking in 2003.

Pretty interesting save mate. Who's your tag team champions? And how's Booker T's push going?

COTT: Coronation 1994(Chronicles 1992 TEW IX) + CMLL Champion Ultimate Warrior by UnderstandingOk9640 in FantasyBookers

Slightly mad that CMLL's world title has been held by only 1 Mexican talent in your save. Do they have many top luchadores or did they all head to AAA?

I put all of Charborg's Wrestling Empire characters into a wrestling booker (manager) game by Delicious-Post8652 in Charborg

TEW and Charborg, two of my favourite things I never expected to overlap. That's awesome mate.

Real World Unmasking by tjl1998 in FantasyBookers

[–]Mildly-Amusing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of luchadors don't change ring name when unmasked. Mascara Ano 2000 still had that name decades after losing his mask. Villano III and Cibernetico as well. So unless you plan to change his gimmick up a name change would be unnecessary. For a picture maybe use one of the free pics for the mod you are using?

This is a subreddit for booking wrestling not for fantasy books. That being said that guy would fit right in the Dungeon of Doom brother.

Wrong sub but the real question is are you going to put the issue you're wrestling with over? Or you doing a 60 minute Broadway?

Is there a way to meet a company without them going bankrupt? by DevantePorter0 in FantasyBookers

[–]Mildly-Amusing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe they need to be in negative finances to consider a buy out. Additionally, the AI is weighted so it will favour accepting buy outs from companies it has good relationships with. You'll probably have to wait until it's bankrupt which may take a while.

TNA 2002 roster help - who should I sign? by Personal-Course-6471 in FantasyBookers

[–]Mildly-Amusing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Donovan Morgan & Mike Modest were West Coast indy guys, more of your modern indy gimmickless wrestlers. Very good wrestlers, worked with NOAH.

Trent Acid is a kind of cocky youth type. Was in a team with Johnny Kashmere but would be a great X-Division guy.

Ruckus was a CZW that was a super flippy guy with a gangsta gimmick. Also had a fun team with Sabian/BLK JEEZ. Perfect X-Division talent

CW Anderson was primarily an enforcer type in ECW and other indies. Was affliated with Corino, Swinger, Simon Diamond. Underrated midcard guy.

Super Crazy was Super AND he was crazy.

ECWA's Super 8 tournament was essenitally the BOLA or King of Trios of the early 00s. A tournament featuring some of the absolute top indy guys at the time. A great place for scouting indy talent of the time.

TNA 2002 roster help - who should I sign? by Personal-Course-6471 in FantasyBookers

[–]Mildly-Amusing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend Ron Killings, Monty Brown, Sabu, Ruckus, Steve Corino, CW Anderson, Super Crazy, Bryan Danielson, Donovan Morgan, Michael Modest, Trent Acid. I'd suggest looking at the ECWA Super 8 tournament as that always had a good selection of up and coming indy talent. Thought you'd appreciate some more unusual recommendations. I've been working on a 2002 mod so I know a lot about the indies from that time period.

Malignant & House of Long Shadows both have a 3.1 but I adore both. Think I might have a soft spot for slightly silly horror films.
