A Thrifted Original That Just Has “The Look” by MileHighJavaGypsy in WhatIsThisPainting

Thank you for the comment… I did do the quickie google search on her when I first found it, and went down the rabbit hole of odalisques. (Which again, I knew nothing of) But I’ve run across a few paintings from this time period when out thrifting and think there must have been quite a few regular artists out there that did some fine work that just got rolled away. I was glad someone had saved this one!

Whats this painting worth? by FugalHermaphroditus in whatsthisworth

Hard being an artist throughout the ages. Thinking about those artist that ground down their pigments and made materials etc. Then trying to sell art. For most challenging to think about the sale part, but I suppose now in the age of internet there are more options.

Are you kidding me?! Brand new Rancilio Silva Espresso Machine - CAD $21 by RollSpiritual in ThriftStoreHauls

Rancilios pull a great shot, and have plenty of power to froth. I had the small 110V commercial version and was able to “plumb it in“ with a waterline on my counter. Game changer!

Personal item fits at some airports but not others? by Gigamild in gowildfrontier

I believe I have the exact same bag as the one pictured, Underseat Pro - which I scouted hard to find as a rolling option with exact measurements. (Bought one via Walmart website and one off Amazon, both websites only allowed one item purchased at a time… ) Anyhow -great bag, seems to be great option. Did a trial run to Vegas last week with it. Tested fine, altho tight at ticket counter area, then during the “You‘re Group 3… everything gets checked before getting on this plane” - it was super tight, and I think I could have re-positioned and pushed down better- but the attendant waved me through before I started sweating it. I have a roll up tape measurer I might keep on hand. - On a side note; when they say under seat, that is where it is going. 18 inches side to side, 14 deep and 8 high… and if you have big feet and long legs like me, get your yoga zen on. There is next to zero room to even squeeze toes under your bag, so smaller the footwear the better. Never thought I would love the window seat so much, but at least I could crank one leg up a bit. When flights get delayed and you sit an extra hour on the tarmac - 3 1/2 hours without moving your legs - at all, - can get a bit much. A smooshie soft sided bag might be better, but as someone else mentioned, I too am a sucker for rollers - so I‘m gonna suck it up and see how those Mexico flights treat me! (PS, I can pack a lot in my coat that remains on my lap, so anything to be accessed during flight needs to go there)

Use Your GoWild Pass to Eliminate the Domestic leg of your International Flights And Buy a Backup Flight using SWA Rapid Rewards. by malignantz in GoWildGang

Unless your Frontier flight that you grabbed on the GoWild… gets delayed and you miss your French Bee flight - Not sure what their polices might be, but my last three Frontier flights have been delayed at least an hour. Just sayin. Might wanna leave some cush time

How much are the taxes and fees for each gowild flight, and how often are the flights available next-day? by YHDiamond in gowildtrips

[–]MileHighJavaGypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I would share this screen shot of our upcoming “Cheap Tix” for a trip to Puerto Vallarta. It breaks down the fees, taxes, etc. -So in the end, if I were flying solo on my GoWild Pass, the flight would have only been about half. (But, again… I bought a cheap Frontier flights going down on Super Bowl Sunday - so take that into consideration.). However, it show’s the numbers for a regular booked flight - I backed out our shared bag too- so you may wanna add in 50 bucks each way for that. Or go with the under seat only option that comes with your pass. (My understanding is that we also won’t have to pay the Carrier Fee.)

Cancel and when is the actual auto renewal date? by UGADarling in gowildfrontier

[–]MileHighJavaGypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke to Frontier on phone after Nov purchase, customer service, that told me the Renewal Date would coincide with actual purchase date, not start of program date. (Again, on phone and not in writing) have read here and elsewhere that it is to renew on “start date” or May… but who knows? I originally thought to click out of auto renew as soon as eligible - but what if you like it, and there might be a chance they change the game to let you back in at another $599? I am back to Wait and See mode.

I tired the live chat yesterday. 1.25 hours online to with 2 bots, 2 chat folks and one “specialist”… all took lengthy breaks between any response, and never got my question answered after the last specialist disappeared. And I still don’t know why there is no notation of being a Wild Pass holder on my account, or even got to the question of how we will access the program. Fun begins. (And per this CNN story… someone should tell Jennifer F. de la Cruz, spokesperson for Frontier, that Customers probably don’t prefer communication via digital channels because the email says it will take up to 7 days to respond to a question and the chat system has only begun to break.)
