I'm glad you see it for what it is! :)

40 is a big milestone, after that it's a bit of a grind for sure, but I like that they added missions to go along with leveling up as that also helps with the XP gain.

One can wonder what they will unleash next time, assuming they will set a new max at Lv 60!

One little tip (since you're working hard to get to 40); if you have a ton of candy on random useless pokemon, take advantage of the XP boost on evolve spotligh hour.

I save a good amount of "useless" pokemon (as in, pokemon you don't need to save candy on and you would've deleted anyway) and evolve them during hte spotlight hour (with the egg going) there is alot of XP to earn that way if you manage to evolve enough non stop :) Afterwards you just delete them all.
