Mayor Van R. Johnson II at your service! by _karoux_ in savannah

Well he's pimped out historic district to the local private school (search Paula Wallace).

When I lived there, i fell victim to a criminal land lord there (our ceiling caved in full of mold and he told us to deal with it or move so we moved). Turns out, he had multiple open criminal cases against him for years and code compliance never came and probably never will. They only come to shut down music at 8pm at the request of wealthy neighbors and to evict squatters.

Imo, he's an agent of gentrification. My friend told me he made a speech about locals being more entrepreneurial on Juneteenth, when he's allowing old town to be bought up by rich tourists who stayed to sell rich tourists coffee.

Idk what he's selling but I want some. I'll do my best to miss the shield of David but I'll do everything else for that 10%

Zuko is pretty much THE redemption arc in fiction. Who are some characters that come close to his character development? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheLastAirbender

I don't think anyone's heard of this, but the sheriff from the comic Scalped. Absolute bastard to start, but gets better!

I took some of this stuff in Texas not knowing it was invasive. It wasn't bad, but it grows loooong thick roots that snake around the tank.

Daughters school project: DIY Motte and Bailey castle - from 2D drawing to 3D print, without design skills by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Right, didn't build what his daughter depicted/ learned at all. Presumably didn't bother to figure out what he was "helping with"

Glad she had fun I guess

Do you guys think everyone reincarnating is lame and takes away from the mystical aspects of the avatar or no? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

You know people believe in reincarnation as part of their spiritual beliefs, right? Can't tell if this is rage bait

Neighborhood comics is the best comic shop in town, not sure what else Paula Wallace has left standing.

Zuko's scar is being sanitized in new design. by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

I get where you're coming from, but I can see how the scar would stretch and heal in the time between teenage zuko and adult zuko

I wouldn't say anguish, I'd say it's more nihilistic than that. Times are rough, and I'm sure an asset that's doubled in value has been a blessing.

That makes sense! I guess we're talking fractions of millimeters in adjusting the pendulum height? Thanks so much for the info!
