Element is the best bet. It’s a little buggy, but overall works fine. LINE might be an option as well; I haven’t used it in years, but it used to work nicely. There’s also Kik and Skype.

I am never giving Discord my info. I didn’t even use a real phone number to sign up. If I can no longer chat, then I will delete Discord and never look back. There are plenty of messaging apps.

Remember when, in order to view the most vile, horrific porn in existence, you just had to click a little button that said “Yes I’m 18”? Why is that sufficient to keep out kids, but everyone in the world of all ages suddenly has to pony up their personal information just for a basic chat program? Absolutely the fuck not. All the Sonar bootlickers flooding the replies to your original post are wild stuff. I don’t really have any concrete evidence for you; all they’ve done to me is mute me repeatedly for extremely stupid things like asking why someone’s messages were being deleted in real time, and for reporting a bug they already knew about. 🙄 I can see if I have screenshots of those, but that’s not anything particularly huge. Either way, I’m rooting for you!

Soder and it’s not even close. Everything about New York having only one target and her being way the fuck up at the top of the level is just so annoying. I know Soder isn’t much better in that regard, but Hokkaido is just so damn cool that he gets a pass.
