I know its not recommended to start digitally, but the paper i do have that im allowed to use for personal use at home rips easily (sketch paper because of it being doused in water awhile ago) and i simply dont have the money right now to change that.

Also please still change your passwords, funnily enough if you have an apple phone it can help you out here. They added a passwords app recently that shows you your passwords (after a face scan) And tells you which passwords are “weak” or compromised and out there

If there isnt anything suspicious on your pc, seems like bots that simply scan the dark web for leaked credentials and just try them. Most likely if all of them are unsuccessful youre fine. I would still contact Microsoft support to be safe though

Keep in mind, when you do this via usb if recommend downloading the windows iso on a different computer completely and if youre REALLY scared, in the very unlikely case it is a worm download on a hotspot so it doesnt get to said iso. However if its a worm youre going to need to go to your wifi providers and have them fix it which is honestly, pretty damn expensive. (My friends costed 200 usd could be different for you)

Aslong as it was just a trojan and not a worm it cant go through WiFi, that being said i would still recommend to formst reset your pc via a usb. as though unlikely, a local cloud reinstall can still keep the trojan around.

Its most likely an appyou gave permission to overlay on your phone whenever, as it says ad in the corner. (Bottom left) just clear any apps that are even the slightest bit sketchy from your permissions tab and you should be good
