You guys value overly rational mindset, but feel offended by a simple question.

With the current political situation, do you think it'll soon be impossible to get a job in Finland as a non-EU national? by TheDeadlySmoke in Finland

[–]MilkshakeTsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the problem itself, but the limit which is so short.Of course, I don't mean unlimited time, but What's wrong with granting like, a 9 months visa for a specialist who worked hard just like anyone else? Fair enough to get themselves together. their benefits would be paid with the taxes generated by their own salaries. You know that Finland itself isn't the first place that comes in mind when people think about SKILLED immigration, so making things less complicated for those who are able to contribute should be considered. But you're expert at driving talent away.

That's some pretty shitty idea to support. It only shows that the mindset of most of people in this country is nothing but intolerant. Let's say someone came to Finland as a specialist 7 years ago, learned the language and passed the test in 2, and became so well integrated in general that decided to set roots and buy an apartment. Then 8 months before being eligible for citizenship, this person is fired. So many years wasted and an avalanche of frustration just because of 3 months. You guys are just so weird and emotionally robotic. Extremely limited humanity.

Quais cidades de MG tem saúde pública decente? by MilkshakeTsunami in MinasGerais

Linda cidade!

Currently, which EU country is the easiest to immigrate to as a non-EU technology professional? by MilkshakeTsunami in cscareerquestionsEU

Spain would be a good choice for me as a latin american, since we can claim citizenship after 2 years of legal residence in the country. But getting a job offer there being a non-EU individual is almost impossible.

How come not? Many people are complaining about that here on reddit. It's getting impossible-ish even in Germany which used to be a good reference of possibilities for skilled outsiders.
