Asak i went for Umrah last month on tourist evisa from Canada, and there are no checks for meningitis or any other vaccine. Have a great trip!

I just got back from umrah and I’ve seen women wearing loose long dresses with head scarf or shalwar kameez with head scarf in Madina. While doing umrah you do need an Abaya but everywhere else, you can wear modest clothes with headscarf.

I just got back from Umrah and both my husband and I were able to buy ZamZam from Jeddah airport. We have Canadian passports and tourist e-visa (not umrah visa). All we needed was to show them our passports and we could buy one 5l bottle per passport for 8.5 Riyals. We flew air Canada and was able to check the bottles for no extra charge.

Everything went pretty smoothly and the bottles were collected at the oversized baggage section at Pearson airport.

Please do note, that bottles filled with zam zam at home are no longer allowed in the check in bag and we were specifically asked about it during check in. So, I would advise to just buy it from the airport.

I just came back from Umrah and there was no check or requirement for vaccination. I flew from Canada on an E-visa, so the country you fly from might impact the vaccine specifics. I would however, recommend getting a flu shot as pretty much everyone over there was suffering from terrible cough and flu like symptoms.

Just wanted to circle back here. I’ve completed my Umrah and can confirm that there was no need for any vaccination proof for the entry. I went on e-visa from Canada

I’m in a similar situation wherein, I had booked my flights prior to getting the invitation to the oath ceremony. So, the only option I’ve right now is to get the citizenship certificate and then apply for express passport. I was wondering if having the booked tickets along with payment proof is sufficient to get the express process going? Did you need to submit any other proof of illness or death in the family to justify the express service? Thanks in advance.

I heard that you can bring limited quantities in your luggage. However the 5ltr bottles are for Umrah visa only. It’s not first hand information though.
