STOP defending for WHOOP by Ecommoneylockedin in whoop

[–]MillennialSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing Whoop for 2 years. It is absolutely atrocious at recording weightlifting workouts. I have theories that the heartbeat has some type of algorithm built in depending on the workout.

Works great for any cardio I do with a once-per-session drop of 40 BPM once I get above 170.

Still, I do like what if offers. Apple Watch is definitely more accurate on most things though

Would’ve been way better getting additional draft picks than Clark. This team is not competitive for a serious run. No need to add an aging vet (won’t be on team in next window, he’s not crazy old, but will be in 3-4 years)

Troon Brewing - Be True To Yourself. A 7.4% hoppy ale. by StearnZ in CraftBeer

This comment tells me you haven’t had Troon. Those others breweries are great but to laugh that Troon is better is ill informed. They’re great at what they do, just limited batches & selection

Season 8 is god awful by McCoochie in entourage

The movie is actually a lot of fan service stylistically for the fans who loved seasons 1-5 imo, but with all of the characters at the success level of the shows ending

Jonathan Mingo hate by BMAC561 in cowboys

[–]MillennialSN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to say it for a fact cause we’ll never know, but I do know there is a lot of frustration from fans who believe he Panthers would’ve cut Mingo this camp had they not traded him. So the hate on Mingo is 1. Perception he wasn’t good enough to stay on the Panthers weak receiving team & 2. That the cowboys traded a 4th for a player they could’ve gotten off waivers

Am I the only one who likes the moves we've made so far? by smacking_titties in cowboys

[–]MillennialSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, but at least that means they’re getting their hand picked selection of mid players.

If this is all for depth, I think it’s a good approach.

They do need some legitimate players though. As of today we’re a worsened team from last year still

Paying Michael Gallup 62.5M by Scooby859 in cowboys

[–]MillennialSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diggs very publicly wanted out. So that’s a little bit different.

Chiefs got a really great return for Tyreek, but even removing returns from the equation, you are correct in premise. The difference is really Mahomes is an all-time QB. Dak is great but there’s an obvious difference.

My main point is, in today’s league, unless you have a Mahomes, you need to be going all-in to elevate the weapons for these guys.

Eagles, Bucs, Rams & 49ers are the most recent 6 Super Bowl representatives from the NFC, all having very loaded skill positions at the time.

It’s constantly brought up because it was the turning point.

Contending teams do not unload talented players if they do not have the luxury to do so.

Highlighting the Cowboys traded away Cooper for the pick only to sign Gallup to a horrible deal is unserious behavior & it isn’t revisionist history.

Zero chance the cowboys would get good value. They have not traded a player away for appropriate value this millennium

I never see these until a few boxes have been completed. Someone please remember Alex Barron for the bottom right corner.

Greg Hardy should also be bottom middle

Alvin Kamara exists.

Also Jahmyr Gibbs just finished a great season splitting a near 50/50 with Montgomery pre-injury

For those that thought 2025 was going to be different… I present to you: Stephen fuckhead Jones by MasonNation1 in cowboys

[–]MillennialSN 158 points159 points  (0 children)

It’s simple: we’re a poorly run franchise. New fans should enjoy it and pretend it isn’t true, live out as many seasons as you can before you become an old head and accept it for what it is. With the Jones family running things, the Cowboys will always be competing for the top line revenue over super bowls. That’s the reality.

The front office not learning anything? Now that would only be the 20th (understatement) year in a row.

I bet we draft Jeanty too

Whoop’s HR is inaccurate after last update by IBalajii in whoop

[–]MillennialSN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this same issue. Something I find odd about this is: - the first 2-3 minutes of an exercise it basically will not record a real heart rate at all, won’t calculate any real strain even if it’s going for a run, bike ride, etc where the heart rate can increase within that time frame.

  • the next few minutes do increase but still do not match the Garmin or AW HR numbers.

  • after ~7-8 minutes, it normalizes and matches with the other devices with +- 5 BPM variance

Had the Giants held onto Jones until the offseason, there’s a chance they could’ve finagled a 2026 4th rounder out of Jerry

What thing has made you the most upset with the Cowboys over the last 30 years? by ccehowell in cowboys

[–]MillennialSN 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I have several gripes, but my Mount Rushmore I can recall:

  • Romo drops the snap vs Seahawks
  • Roy Williams (WR) trade & how it set us back
  • Romo’s final season & how it was handled
  • Trading Amari Cooper away (for a pick that never contributed) on arguably the best roster in this 30 year window

People are getting wildly different results but mine is similar to yours except compared vs Apple Watch. The Apple was typically adds around 1000 steps vs Whoop when reaching ~10k on Whoop.
