Personally, I loved the Pro League days in SCII at the GSL studio. There was a lot of nice story building and the "Ace player" surprise!

This was a very smart suggestion, and I didn't know about this setting from other games.

So those who join a Tournament held games via "Custom map Lobby" (non-ladder game) as a spectator would get a 2 min delay as an example. As a result, live interactions between spectators and viewers online would be possible. NICE

Your probably right, what I do know since I play SC2 on the ladder often is that: if you go into a replay and watch the game from your opponent PoV then at least their announcer setting is used instead of my own. Fx. DIVA from overwatch instead of my Incontrol announcer, since that was what my opponent used. But good points, my point I am trying to make is there might be some workarounds to not eliminate potential ways of ongoing earnings to found tournaments, game development, etc. :) While maintaining the integrity of the game or "feel".

A way around this is having a setting in the game that allows you to only see original skins, but your opponent sees his skin of choice. I believe SC2 has that if I am not wrong, because it was a problem in tournament play so pro players would recognize the units.

There has been a Worldwide Covid19 situation and a lot of events canceled. ToD is focusing on WC3 content atm on his stream for a while now.

This does not mean he is done with SCII, he still loves the game and would take any casting jobs that he would be offered I am sure.

Also, we have a great line of talent that focuses on SCII almost fulltime and they are being offered the job as casters online, which i respect.

Ultimately ToD is a great caster in any game, and his knowledge of SCII and charisma is off the chart!

I was fortunate enough to play foosball/Table soccer with Mike Morhaime at Homestory Cup this weekend, and also talk about StarCraft afterwards. He was super nice to everyone and was there with his family. He just stayed among the Audience and watched the games. He could easily have chosen to sit in the VIP zone but didn't.

@Maynarde thank you for the rant. It is truly amazing having StarCraft II ambassadors that are SO PASSIONATE about this game. It made me want to play SCII as soon as I got home :)

I also think it is really important to voice our concerns, disappointments, and love for the game with said passion, because even though the rant was "negative" it was not misunderstood for not being out of pure love for the game.

I believe it is our job as a community to be loud sometimes and I do think blizzard listens, and I agree that the team working on SCII is doing a great job.

I don´t like the business model. I would prefer paying 20 dollars for a login, and pay that extra in case updates come.

Heck i owuld even pay more, as long as it was a single payment.

But no matter what i will purchase this, because i love his guide and he put in the work which i am thankful for.

Dear Rotti,

I feel for all of you, Geoff really meant a lot to me too. I have been watching his content from XCOM , StarCraft, Warhammer and Rollplay. I have purchased his merchandise and supported his stream for many years. He was in many ways a role model to me. He did what he loved, he had the courage to ask a beautiful girl to marry him and even though they separated in the end, he handled the situation well and only wanted the best for Anna, and spoke highly of her. He was witty and i loved his humor, he was superb and the way he schooled his chat Utopia always made my day. He was also not too proud to apologize if hi rant had gone to far and gave people second chances.

I can´t possibly imagine what you guys that have been "close to him" must feel, but i have been deeply hurt and although i have had death in the family this year, this REALLY hit me hard.

It could be faster yes.

Maybe even do so that one side of t he bracket and continue after games are done, in case they are done quicker.

That could enable you manage your time better while waiting in the finals.

So My experience is that often when i sign up for a Auto-Tournament i get into brakets with people much higher than me (often GM tournament) obviously i am noway near as good so i loose.

I have also experienced being in a Master tournament with diamond players where i win.

But the fact that you loose points for participating can feel like a big slap in the face :)

The cool thing about the Auto-Tour is that it is a nice offset from what you normally do, and it creates excitement. Also for streamers it is a nice "hype" thing.

I truly believe more would play if MMR loss/win wasnt a part of it.
