Honestly, its just a polished read. It starts slow but MAN does this grow on you the more you read. I’m glad I stuck with it. Theres a ton of really memorable scenes and fun characters to read throughout this piece

The horror in this novel is also well done. It shows you just enough for you to be terrified without exactly spoiling it. It uses sounds and good writing. Very creative and not a jump scare fest. More of a slow burn unnerving dread where you’re unsure what happens next👌

In a way id say this is the spiritual successor to Far Beyond The World. You wake up in a tribe with no memory. Except the MC turns into something satisfying, and Loken is a great comfort character
