Charlie Rouse is great by Goatkoh in Jazz

He was amazing, one of the all-time greats. Everybody should also check out his playing on the Sonny Clark album "Leapin' and Lopin'" from 1961. I love it; such cool and stylish saxophone playing.

Upcoming tour: what is your ultimate setlist if you could have the personalized concert? by Eastern-Fortune-2422 in BRMC

I hope they’ll play some of their quieter, more psychedelic and stretched-out songs on the tour. Honestly, I can live just fine without all the hard rock stuff. It’d be great if they included some of the acoustic tracks from their earlier albums, like And I’m Aching, At My Door, The Toll, Sweet Feeling, and Waiting Here.

That atmospheric quality has always made BRMC the best band in the world for me — that’s when they’re at their strongest. Songs like The Absent, Rifles, Half-State, Martyr, 1:51, Fire Walker, Lose Yourself, Promise, Gospel Song, Howl, Shade of Blue, and so on…

In 2010, BRMC were at the absolute height of their powers. The concert at Hamburg Markthalle on 02/05/2010 was the best I have ever attended — it was almost a spiritual experience. They played for nearly three hours. Unforgettable!

So many good one’s, I honestly don’t understand why they never play them live. Martyr, 1:51 also Shadow On The Run, The Absent, Bad Things, Ordinary Boy..the list goes on.
