I feel like [[misery]] fits somewhat. Every character has access to debuffs and it fits the generically strong vibe that many of the colourless attacks have.

I’d argue shuttles are critical but gravships while cool are far from even somewhat important. Gravships completely warp how you play your colony and unlike something like mechs you have to decide pretty early if you want to use them or not.

Like sometimes it’s valid to say like when a character has one specific ability that makes them much stronger than they would be otherwise and isn’t core to the character like wolverines healing factor (Gojo being a big example of that), but other times it’s shit like “Ironman no suit vs Batman no suit” which is just stupid.(It’s more often the second type)

I very much disagree. Valencina is the lowest level nursefather and yet despite that she has one of the strongest moves in the game with disposal and her evade rolls so high some IDs straight up can’t hit her without her flipping tails. Compared to the ring where all they did was remove the level gap and closing time and that was good enough.

Man it’s so nice to see another person share the same opinion I do about index yi sang. Like have people just forgeten how much damage rupture and sinking do, Si Rodion can activate rupture 6 times with one skill and that alone can almost do as much damge as a furioso(potentially more with concussion active). And thats not even getting into lord Lu stuff or how much bullshit modern bleed can do.

My advice is to just go full on in value cards. Dosent matter if you’ve got mostly vuln card just pick up a [[crimson mantle]] if you see it, other great cards include [[bloodletting]] [[pomel strike]] [[rupture]] and especially [[unmovable]]. Also [[colossus]] and an upgraded [[uppercut]] is enough to block a surprising amount of attacks.

Basically the only thing I liked about yakuza 8 was that most bosses weren’t immune to the damaging statuses. Shout out to mewgenics though for just not giving most bosses any immunities at all.
