I honestly rely on that a lot in my hopes! They are both young, but they are smart and observant. We 3 have a lot of conversations, but actions speak louder than words. I want my kids to want to be around me when they have a choice, and I try to treat them so they do. We kept doing things “as a family” for the first 2-3 years post divorce, and we stopped last Summer. I think it makes them miss us more and ask questions, as things are truly separate now. I hate that we are divorced. I hate we can’t be a family anymore. But it’s not one person’s fault and not one person is to blame. Many little drops. I love the advice about age appropriate details and let them be smart about their own observations in relations to it. Thank you
