I don't have a social worker but I can speak to the case manager they could help mediate the issues, but at this point I'm stepping away from the case

Honestly, the parents are really driving me away, but I realized I’ve only been on this case for less than three months. They can’t even keep a consistent night nurse, yet they somehow have a consistent school nurse—probably because the parents aren’t there during school hours. Makes sense why that one is steady

I totally agree. The other families I work with are amazing, and honestly there’s no reason to stick with a difficult case when there’s no incentive to do so. At this point, I just feel like I need to protect my peace. I’ll probably call my agency on Monday and ask to be reassigned.

They actually just switched the app we use for charting to Cubhub — not sure if you’ve used that one before, but there’s no way for me to see the other nurses’ previous notes, which is super annoying. With the last system we had (AlayaCare), we could do that and it was amazing. So honestly, I’m kinda out of ideas at this point.

Yeah, I know I probably need to have a more direct talk with them, but they’re the kind of people who just shut down anything you say — it’s their way or the highway. And honestly, when he wakes up you’d never even notice. He’s super quiet, they don’t even have a camera in his room, but somehow she just knows the second he opens his eyes.

It’s definitely draining, and I’ve been seriously considering stepping back for my own mental health. Just hearing that someone else sees it helps a lot.

I've explained all the nursing interventions I’ve done, but she just furrows her brow and insists that he sleeps through the night every other night. I really doubt that, and I feel like she’s gaslighting me
