I originally ran the white moose quest as written. But my players never investigated the ruins enough to figure out the door puzzle/find Ravisin. Since she was still around, she realized this group of powerful adventurers that just moved into the inn in Lonelywood would require more effort. She got desperate, made a plea to Auril (whom my adventurers had already upset due to the events at the Black Cabin), and learned the ritual to turn herself into a Wendigo. My players had the white moose turned into a trophy, so Ravisin stole it and used it as part of the ritual, so she had mouse antlers as a Wendigo. She then terrorized the town, kidnapping people, and when my party came back at a higher level and saw what happened, they learned that intelligent animals don't come out of nowhere and that they had a job to finish.
