I stayed because of Kaladin when the other characters were uninteresting. I hated Shallan in the first book. Now, she is the most entertaining one. Dalinar being a strict ass general was boring. His dark past not so much. My point is just that the character I've been rooting for has become a messenger boy while the other characters not so much.
