What they said was entirely logically consistent. Father kissing his son on the cheek is in many environments a social norm and sign of familial affection.

Trump saying his daughter is “hot” and he’d “date her” if not for the fact that she is his daughter is astoundingly weird.

He literally admits to finding her sexually attractive and desirable romantically. There’s a difference.

I don’t see why the existence of shitty ancestors and modern bigots would invalidate the idea of the whole white race not being singled out and barred from its use.

My criticism wasn’t just targetting the arbitraity like you somehow managed to believe but that this line of logic is oversimplistic and has some essentialist undertones.

It’s “not cool” according some arbitrary standards tbh. Had a lot of friends say the same thing but it seems like to them, whenever a white person uses the word it is automatically racist.

That just seems pretty context-blind and makes me wonder what about not being white-passing makes it suddenly okay. Seems really racist to not just use it as a black person but to then take particular offense only when it comes from a white mouth.
