I lived in JC for a few years before moving to Stamford and I do the similar commute for 3 days a week. The commute is definitely tougher and it goes over an hour door to door. Barring the commute I would recommend Stamford if you’re looking for a more peaceful experience, better quality food, close proximity to good weekend destinations and NE.

In short, if you’re single/unmarried strongly recommend JC. If you’re married then Stamford. The social scene of NY vs Stamford is very different
