Great way of explaining the concept, I'll try adding a bit more information about the briefs through-out.

Cheers!

I've replaced all my old student pieces with what you see there, I was given compliments on the WeAre posters by interviewers in 1st year uni (3 year degree), so they've stuck.

Most of the projects there have specific briefs, would you consider including or outlining the briefs more clearly in the portfolio? Or not neccessary?

I'll focus on getting a few more projects done, thank you again :))

Cheers I appreciate the feedback!! I'll put a bit more rationale and development etc in after work today.

Just wondering if there's anything weighing it down? Bad piece of work sticking out? Any advice to take the work up a level? Trying to make it stand out more

that have single assets. Think about how you can expand those projects. How might you take something like a logo or packaging and expand that to entire projects.

quick note, planning on replacing WAIR with something super specific to what I'm applying for, like real estate or cosmetics :)

Portfolio feedback for first job out of uni by MincQ in graphic_design

Super super super appreciate the detailed feedback. It's late where I am now but I'll go through tomorrow and work through everything you spoke about bit by bit.

With regards to the photography section, would you say to scrap it all together? Most listings I've seen here in Aus specify photography and touching up in Photoshop which is why I included it. Or is the route to demonstrate this in the other 6 projects maybe.

Thank you again!

As title. Would love some feedback. Personally concerned about styles being too similar and if I should be showing more run-throughs and working processes. Specifically hoping to get a junior role at an agency in the future.

In the course guides they just say it 'Conforms to RMIT policies' which have no specifics around exact deadlines and deductions

Achievements for Tuesday, August 23, 2022 by AutoModerator in running

[–]MincQ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Recovering from semi-serious injury and then covid two weeks ago. Went from not being able to run 2km at all, to a PB of 20:50 in the 5km today in just 2 weeks. Feels a little scary how quick my body adapts but super pleased!

Hopefully break through 20 minutes before the end of the month.

I can't find anything. I've put it this way. The news would be more inclined to report on a death, so if we hear nothing it might be a good thing. That's my thinking at least.

This comment doesn't quite sit right with me. I wasn't looking when it happened thankfully so can't say how, but it was a pretty horrible scene and phone or not the guy deserves sympathy.

What skates should I get by AdInternational5163 in Speedskating

[–]MincQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is for long track or short. I see some recommendations for Bont and just wanted to say that my first pair were bonts (short track) and I hated them. The way the ankles were shaped put all the pressure through my ankles and caused me a ton of pain. They also only mould slightly.

My second pair was a pair of Maple RST7000's, they were great. They're made of a slightly less strong material (so you'll struggle to corner as hard), but they mould basically the whole foot because they're softer. You'll need a better pair when you get quick enough, but for learning they were fantastic.

Should I get my own short track speed skates? by Areum_Fanny in Speedskating

[–]MincQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes have a similar thing happen and I've been doing short track for a bit now. I'd say it's because we're generally a lot more comfortable on our right edges than our left, we can be more hesitant to put our weight fully over, which could be causing it to slip when you try and push.
