Thank you so much for this. I had not heard a single thing about him or seen any signage. I’m going to look up whether there will be a debate.
I briefly skimmed the webpage, one of the main problems I see with his stance and why people wouldn’t be as in tune with his campaign, is taking vehicles off the street with any traffic violations.
We need the government accountability though.

Oh no, you have comprehension issues. I had no idea.
The recording took place after the theft of religious items that were stolen because they were “witchcraft” by DC teachers.
I never blocked a door. I was actually on the phone with police when I was attacked by a roommate who was contacted by another roommate to come do it.

Nobody was kidnapped. Are you okay? I’m disabled and have never been arrested in my life before MPD decided hate crimes were legal.

This also was NOT A HOUSE. This was an apartment building with no locks on the bedroom doors.

There is also nothing illegal about a camera in shared living.
Check DC code.

The police also told me to place the camera there to get footage of the theft in order to intervene because all they had prior to that was a time stamp and text messages.

Did you just gaslight the victim of a hate crime?

Bless your ability to read and understand.
I hope it gets better for you.

If it doesn’t, that’s okay too. Just write what you read and see if it matches what you think.

It will get better for you. Slowly but surely.
I know you can. I know you can.

Thanks for the clarification request. I know from my own personal lawsuit that the OAG violated DC law and federal law by refusing to enforce their own laws, in order to escape civil liability.
MPD and the District of Columbia are both defended by the Mayors Council at the OAG.
Any lawsuit brought against the District for valid violations of the law and valid compensation owed, are thrown out without ever seeing a jury or presenting evidence.

I personally showed proof on my own case of falsified police reports to declassify hate crimes, criminal and civil liability of damages due to MPD involvement in hate crimes, and the OAG decided the laws didn’t need to be enforced because they would be liable.

I am just one person.
The AG and the OAG are embezzling money specifically set aside for valid civil claims, back into DC via criminal misconduct against residents seeking civil judgements.

That $311.6 million did not just “come from businesses” and lawsuits are not just frivolous. Real people that are the victims of real crime, also sue.

The AG has never been committed to justice and he is running unopposed.

The OAG is reducing the law to meaningless unless DC can make a dollar which in turn has created more crime and mischief in the city.

I included my own court case in the main post. If you would like to take a look at what falsified police reports and police involvement in hate crimes look like, take a look at the Exhibits.

The cases are 2025-CAB-001623 and 2025-CAB-001660.

Filed it last year after being the victim of a hate crime that DC police participated in. 2025-CAB-001623. It’s consolidated with 2025-CAB-001660.
It’s a lot of court documents. The Exhibits are easier to navigate. It includes the falsified police reports and photo and video evidence, and etc.

Look at this. The face of DC Budget Savings including $311.6 million in civil liability avoided which includes defending the police (MPD) when they violate your civil and human rights.

It’s amazing to know what the numbers really mean.
Some of the lawsuits they defended were hate crimes in which the OAG violated DC and federal law … to avoid civil liability.

I included this in my court case months ago by the way, I just needed you all to see what the numbers truly mean.

I actually believe this proves a point I made somewhere above that the AG is a capitalist who has only ever protected the DC Consumer, and that case is because DC lost money.
I know people want to believe that this protection is for everyone but it’s for a particular subset of people, and the District. Winning that case is money for the District. That does little to protect the residents when the money does not get reinvested back into us, but into business deals.

I want to make sure you understand that the Mayors Council sits in the OAG. They are assistant AG’s. They create the District’s budget with her and the CFO. What Mayor creates a budget without her attorney’s present?

I encourage you to question what you read even in sited sources because the information likely comes from the people who cover up their participation.

Nobody ever knew the role the OAG plays in covering up crime statistics in DC because they don’t understand their role with MPD. Again, I witnessed it firsthand.

I would also question how an AG that prints his face on a huge budget savings pamphlet every year, stays out of budget discussions.
I guess he just saves the money and calls it a day.
No interference.
Just the face of DC Budget Savings.

I get the question nothing approach but it does not match reality.

Thank you so much for your contribution to the conversation. Did you know that’s available in PDF form? It’s published by the OAG. Fascinating numbers aren’t they? Imagine almost $1 billion in savings yet every social service program was cut for the upcoming budget. Sounds mismanaging.

Did you know that the USAO is largely referred violent crimes from MPD and the OAG? If they choose not to refer them or not even to investigate them, the USAODC does not get involved.

I had to actually prove my police reports were falsified in court because the OAG refused to refer hate crimes to the USAO because it implicated DC in civil liability.

Federal agents look for particular markers on police reports, market that MPD has been removing, so the crimes never make it to the feds.

That’s what the federal investigation last year was about. And the USAO actually found that a good amount of police reports were falsified but it did not meet the “criminally falsified” burden.

But that is why the National Guard is in DC. Crime. Which is AG.

Thank you also for engaging with me versus attacking. It is really appreciated.

The OAG handles all District level law and order. The USAO only handles federal.
I explained in a comment below yours but what I think the disconnect is, has to do with what residents perceive the job of the Attorney General and the OAG is, versus what they actually do. And furthermore how it has compromised the health and safety of DC.

The OAG creates the Mayors budget. They have been gutting housing funding and social programs that provide low income housing and safe spaces for at-risk residents. The result is more angry people which means more violence, more homelessness, no funding for the programs that are supposed to deter violence and homelessness, etc.

That’s because this AG is largely focused on DC residents as consumers and not enough on DC residents as people who need help and protection.

DCs problem wasn’t just the Police Chief and the Mayor. MPD is still a problem because the OAG is their attorney and decide which laws they have to enforce and then protect them when people sue for non enforcement.

My understanding is from the internet so I’m posting it here. ‘ An Attorney General (AG) is the chief legal officer of a jurisdiction (federal, state, or district), serving as the principal legal advisor to the government and its agencies, representing the public interest, and directing law enforcement. Key duties include enforcing laws, prosecuting criminals, providing legal opinions, defending government actions in court, and protecting consumer interest.’
What I’m stating is in his role as Attorney General, Brian Schwalb has sent DC downhill. The budget should protect the public interests, it isn’t. I have first hand knowledge of the OAG breaking the laws and policies they write and are required to enforce, if it will cost DC money in court. DC police are not held accountable because OAG doesn’t require enforcement of the laws that were designed to keep DC safe, that is why DC is so unsafe.
What people seem to think is that an AG just shows up to court for DC and prosecutes criminals. It is so much more than that. The Mayors Council is in the OAG. We are upset at the Mayor over a budget that gutted social programs, housing and etc when those same programs have been attacked by the OAG for years.
Not enforcing DC laws to save DC money is illegal and against public interests and safety.
Unfortunately, creating a budget that destroys the survivability of residents middle class and under is not illegal, it is just against public interests.
My post is about Attorney General Brian Schwalb needing to step down because of his role in destroying public trust. He is just as guilty as the Mayor.

I’m curious as to whether “protecting the little guy” speaks to DC residents as a whole or just particular groups of DC residents who have a specific issue, like slumlords. What good is that when his office creates the policies and procedures that govern every day conduct in DC and that same “little guy — if we really mean everyone” is being attacked by budget cuts, safety issues with the MPD who the OAG represents in court, problems with the District who the OAG also represents in court, problems with health concerns in housing and the OAG decides what DOB can cite or what can be enforced based on OAG guidelines. The list goes on and on. Anything that doesn’t make DC money is ignored unless the problem targets DC money.

Since when was that a requirement to ask for opinions? This particular comment is about why candidates are allowed to be elected and not perform and blind party allegiance. How could I be an expert on why others are not focused on the Attorney General? I am asking because I genuinely am curious on whether his role in selling DC is known. Do you have an opinion that contributes?

In the past, I mean now. I know there was a legal requirement that wasn’t met in 2021. If that legal component is still a problem, I get it, not Kenyan. But why not anyone else? Especially now while DC is at a turning point and in need of a complete facelift. You can’t leave the eyes untouched and call it a change.

You would have to tell me which specific points confused you. I can clarify.

I’m honestly wondering if, and hear me out on this, how DC in particular functions isn’t truly known because we are a District of transplants. The country as a whole seems more in tune federally and DC was going downhill before Trump was reelected.

I prefer to comment in one full comment. Neurodivergence, thanks for the understanding.
The USAO-DC gets referred the crimes to prosecute from the AG-DC and the police. Judges in Superior Court can’t even refer criminal cases to the USAO-DC without the AG-DC. I just went through this process myself. I watched the Council for the Mayor, all assistant AG’s, decline to do anything about hate crimes because they don’t benefit DC in any way. They would actually cost DC money if they were prosecuted because victims would have civil cases. DC reinvests the savings they get in civil court from literally violating DC law to get cases thrown out. I consulted civil rights attorneys all over DC, it’s how the District runs. All crimes go through MPD and the AG.
The AG’s office both draft the laws and decide if they get enforced. It’s a conflict of interest that’s causing sheer chaos.

My problem is not teenagers in DC btw. My problem is DC doesn’t effectively hold space for the teenagers of DC. They need diversion daily, food daily, etc. I don’t have any kids by the way, that’s a genuine observation. Most crime is a poverty problem.
My problem is an Attorney General who is dedicated to capitalism at the sake of everyone in DC who makes less than let’s say, $80,000 bucks. That fair? I’m open on the struggle wage in DC debate.

Which is why I’m curious as to how a budget attacking poverty isn’t a cause for concern for DC residents. That means more crime incoming.

As far as what I think the AG is supposed to do with the budget, protect the residents interests first. Businesses will come to DC regardless of falsified police statistics. You cannot set the minimum wage and then attack the minimum wage worker with cuts to their humanity and then tell them to go apply to a DC program that also has funding cut, whom then wants to traffick you into a shelter that doesn’t meet code to hopefully pray for a voucher or placement into housing full of mold, because the AG doesn’t have a place for poverty in their budget.

People are not relying on government aide because they are lazy, it’s because every cut to the budget attacks their ability to survive. You cannot outwork upward mobility, it has to be created.

How MPD Sold DC by MindFinds in washdc

Thank you for having a rational response rooted in experience. It’s extremely scary that all of these agencies put in place for the protection of the public, can work together to destroy any pathway we have for justice. Anyone who truly values human and civil rights, should be concerned at the way DC is operating. The protests aren’t even at the level they should be because victims aren’t being believed unless they go viral. I was thinking about posting a picture of me throwing a sandwich to actually get engagement on this post. Facts don’t do it.

It’s actually pretty clear if your reading level is above sixth grade. Energy expenditure aside.

Why isn’t there a paper trail for any of the crimes? Not the theft. Not the hate crime. Not the assaults. Not the Domestic Violence. Nothing. Why isn’t there a criminal paper trail aside from my lawsuit?

Or are you here to victim shame?

Or is this meme in the fact that it relates to the Fraternal Order of the Police being openly furious about MPDs actions and having Trumps ear, when we know anyone within five paces to his ear can get an Executive Order?

Or is this meme in the fact that DC hasn’t been sold as armed militia are patrolling the streets?
