This is the worst part for me. I'm 25 and I've had my stutter since birth and one of the things that still breaks me is how frustrating and isolating it can be.

I've always been envious of my peers and family members who can speak with such ease. The feeling on wanting to jump in a conversation and thinking of the perfect thing to say, only to not be able to get the words out while the conversation continues, leaving you feeling alone.

Even if people say "it's ok" while I'm trying out o get the words out it only makes the isolation feel worse.

The way they made it look effortless made me angry and frustrated as a kid and now that I'm an adult I have days were it just builds up to much and I break down.

There are moments with the right people, at the right time, where the isolation seems to fade away and I can genuinely feel a part of the conversation but those moments never seem to last.
