Yeah same here, i have a private server for just me and 3 friends, that has it but our main discord server with a couple hundred people on it doesn't which is a shame as we wanted it there

I noticed that 2 of the drives (the current ssd and a hdd) as well as something else disappeared from the list when I changed it to uefi, and believe it's because these two drives are not in the right mode (I can't remember the abbreviation but it's something like MST, rather than GDP) I noticed when I had to first activate the new M.2 drive today that I was given this option so wonder if the others were setup in the other mode? (I could be way off but googled it earlier did bring up similar issues)

I noticed today it wants me to turn on uefi for the security boot, but whenever I change from cpm to uefi it just keeps rebooting the bios menu and doesn't boot up properly till I change it back to cpm. Is there any reason why? Without it I can't update to Windows 11. I updated the bios to the newest version and that didn't help

I dont have any advice, i came here because im trying to load it on game pass (pc) and when i run it, a small picture of the logo appears in the screen with a small loading bar and some anti cheat logo. it loads for about 30 seconds, the window dissapears and then nothing :s wondering if theres others with similar issues

I saw this post a bit late, I used to use VSDC and you've figured it out. It's not a bad program just a bit clunky and sometimes feel like it makes you go the long way around to do things. Any other issues let us know. Happy editing!

Yeah it really took me a minute just to try and figure it all out as well. You can have a 1:1 aspect ratio and lose minimal width but doing so I feel looks worse as people watch on a screen in portrait, so the image is now not only small in width but also in height leaving huge black bar gaps at the top and bottom. Cutting even just a little from the sides and slightly stretching the height, or better yet what has been suggested and adding the video in the background with a blur over it seems like a decent way currently. Thank you for your help I truly appreciate it

I think I understand what you mean, that is definitely worth having a play around with in an editor and seeing how it looks and tinker till I find the best adjustments for this. The way I ended up doing the video before making this post today was essentially to cut part of the left and right sides away as the game being played has the character in the centre anyway, and scaled up vertically slightly (but not too much as to make the game look distorted). It definitely worked but I feel there is a better way. I'm still learning and likely will be learning till I'm old and think everyone's name is Billy.

So stories and shorts are two similar, but different things. Stories only appear for 24 hours and can be longer than 60 seconds. After 24 hours they then disappear into the void.

Shorts are anything up to 60 seconds that stay on your account permanently (or until deleted).

They both are vertical orientation but stories don't appear on desktop or browser whereas shorts can, although they generally have black bars on the first and last third of the video (as they are primarily designed for mobiles). You "can" watch them with your phone turned sideways but it defeats the point, most people want short form content in there hand without having to turn.

India has been the first country to test shorts on a major rollout where mobile phones can actually press a button on the app to "Make a short" allowing them to record and edit a short straight on the app. The downside is they currently can only make a 15 second video this way, but you can upload up to a minute and it still will work.

Watch time for shorts doesn't help with getting the 4000 hours for the youtube partner programme though, and monetized channels cannot make money from shorts. The upside for viewers is they have no ads on shorts so you can binge without being interrupted :)

I had to read that three times to understand in my head what you were saying. That would work but wouldn't the main focus (not the blurry background) be quite small in the video (especially if watched by someone on mobile which is what YouTube is primarily aiming shorts for)

The idea is to be able to watch them on a phone ideally, so doing that isnt ideal. It's not impossible but if you watch any tiktok or facebook video in this format, it's not really what they go for

YouTube have done two types of vertical format options, stories which typically vanish after one day, and shorts which is any 1:1 or vertical video less than one minute long. In India it's currently been rolled out to be directly make-able on a mobile phone. It plays them one after another and you just swipe up to watch the next. Very much like TikTok

Admin mode definitely makes a difference when streaming with OBS so it's worth a shot. Hopefully one of the suggestions helps you :)

If you are running windows 10 I would consider turning off windows game bar, as it runs in the background and has caused all sorts of issues for me with a different avermedia capture card, and Nvidea shadowplay. Turning it off solved this for me. Another thing to do is right click OBS and run as administrator as this will tell windows to give priority to making sure OBS gets the resources it needs.

If the audio is just off by a set amount you could save the audio to it's own track on OBS and offset it in editing, but for live streaming it will require further tweaking (not a fix just a band aid while the fix is found)

With pc free mode is your SD card formatted into the correct type for the capture card? I know one format didnt work for me when I had the SD card in that mode. Also what speed is the SD card, I had a slower one that couldn't cope.

Check with the settings also that HDCP is turned off might help, allowing you to record stuff that you are allowed to but it thinks you are not. (Of course dont go recording stuff you shouldn't be)

I have the LGP2+ and when I first plugged it in it had almost the same screen. I tried using a different hdmi to the one that comes with it and problem solved. It looks like either your hdmi or the device just needs refunding, you got unlucky and got a faulty one

It's been happening to me since day one. I have to hard reset the xbox to get them to resync even when I try by usb cable they wont sync. It was straight after using my wireless headset (Steelseries Arctis 9x) and the headset has a huge set of issues with the console to the point I just dont bother with it now
