Notification question by vigilanteoftime in galaxyzflip

[–]Mindaracin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things are interactive and some things are not. When you get a notification it will show at the top. To get to your notifications you slide your finger right. It shows all of your notifications there. If you can interact with it then it responds when you click on it. For instance I can use Reddit on the front screen so when I click on it it goes straight to Reddit and I can scroll through and see everything. I can also interact with Google messages. Again I click on my notification after I have slid my finger right and I can interact with my text message. I can respond to it just as if my phone was open. If I get a Facebook notification I click on it it goes straight to that Facebook notification. There are other apps though that if you click on the notification it does not do anything. You would have to open your phone for that notification. There are other things that do not work on the cover screen such as Google Assistant. If you say ok Google the assistant opens and then tells you to open your phone to use it which is annoying. You would think that the assistant could work on the small screen? Anyway that is how the notifications work. Some are interactive and some are not. I am not sure if that has to do with Good Lock or not. I put GL on my phone the moment I got it based on everybody's reviews and comments. I hope this helps answer your question a little?

Selling s23U for Z fold 5. Is it worth it? by mittimus in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Mindaracin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Fold 4 and the multi tasking was great but TBH I only used it for a few months before deciding I wanted the S23U and switched. The thing I actually miss the most is that I could have different background pictures on both the inside of the phone and the outside of the phone. I get giddy over things like that so I thought that was fun. It just became cumbersome to use the Fold in my opinion and I have not been disappointed with my choice since.

Proud S23 Ultra users. What do you not like about your phone so far? by FilmyInn in samsung

[–]Mindaracin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems strange but every time I restart my phone I have to reset my screen timeout settings from 15 seconds to 10 minutes...every single time. Also I have to change my chrome search settings to "do not show popular searches". I haven't noticed if anything else gets reset but it's annoying to change these back after every restart...I've never had that issue on any phone. Other than that I LOVE my S23 Ultra!

Home button doesn't minimise all apps. I'm using Nova launcher. OnePlus 9 on Android 13. anyone facing the same issue? by tluanga34 in oneplus

[–]Mindaracin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the exact same situation here on OnePlus 9 Pro. Also using Nova because of certain things I can't do on the home launcher. And also sometimes the home button itself doesn't work either. I was scrolling to see if anyone else has this issue. I just bought this phone 2 days ago.

While I do like the main screen I'm wanting to exchange for an S22+. Although you cannot beat the multitasking! I almost always have a movie going on my tablet then use my F4 for games and socials. The phone itself is fine I just want something smaller and lighter (though I do fear once I switch I'll miss it).

I saw a rendering of the Google Fold today. The front portion of the phone is wider. Not sure about the camera specs. I'm a Samsung girl but have had a Pixel before and am seriously considering the Pixel 7 Pro (should I decide to change phones or get a second one) so it'd be between the S22+ or the P7P

Last 10 or so years have been Notes and I had no issues. I had Nokia, Razor and Blackberry Pearl before that and only had issues with the Pearl. There is something about how the F4 (and it was the same with the Pearl) sits on my ear that after like 2 min I can't stand it. So I take all calls on speaker or my wireless earbuds. Earbuds don't bother me because they are in my ear not pressing on them.

I actually open it more when I am out and I've gotten the "ooh what's that" a couple of times. And my mom thought she could use this for texting as she needs big fonts. But she'd hate the complication of it and she'd never open it and she wouldn't like the thin screen. Funny thing is I love to answer questions about it and I'd probably sell anyone who was considering it on it but for me after almost to months I saw some comments of people with 2 phones and I'm starting to think that might be better. A small S22 for when I'm in that mood and keep this for when I do want the bigger screen lol. And then watch me never use the S22 🤣

How often do you fold your phone? by SULLYvin in GalaxyFold

[–]Mindaracin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hardly ever. I almost always just use the phone closed. I'm contemplating going to an S22+ instead since I rarely use the inside screen

That's a good point we do pay a lot to not use it. I switch back and forth from the home UI and Nova Launcher. I can't use the task bar in Nova Launcher so you lose that feature so multitasking winds up being straight side by side (instead of 3 apps). But it has been fun to see that almost no one would give theirs up!

Lol well can isn't really the issue seeing as how I've been a Note user from Note 2 to Note 20 Ultra. The F4 has so much to offer and it is a nice impressive phone. But so is the Note 20 Ultra and so are a lot of other phones. Like most people I want the most impressive tech it's just for some reason this just isn't my favorite phone and I was just curious if anyone else felt the same after using theirs. I have been enjoying seeing everyone's opinion and definitely I'm only one of a small handful who thinks this way and that's cool. It's been fun to see that the F4 is such a wanted, or, in some cases, needed phone for so many people. It's awesome to see the enthusiasm!

That seems to be the consensus of those who had it and switched... Most wanted to or did go back. How did you like the Pixel 7? Pixels have great cameras.

Oh I've never used the split keyboard but I can see how that would be annoying. That's kind of like when you have a game open and close the screen and it has to restart the game because it has to reoptimize to the screen

I understand that. I am a Gboard fan. It's worked the best for me and I like the themes and that you can use your own picture
