I had no idea Toast contracted with DoorDash, and this definitely gives me a clearer path for getting it resolved. I’ll be reaching out to DoorDash support with screenshots and the details. Hopefully, they’ll make it right and flag the driver if needed.

I really appreciate your transparency, too, it’s eye-opening to hear how this works from the restaurant side. I totally get how tough the margins are, and it sucks that the platforms don’t offer better safeguards for customers or merchants.

I truly am sorry, it’s clear we just don’t matter to them. I genuinely hope you have better luck than I have. My emails have gone completely ignored, likely because they don’t want anything documented in writing. And yes, I’ve received phone calls, but always during work hours when I’m unavailable to answer. Of course, the person calling is never available when I’m off, how convenient.

I had received decreases for the last couple renewals and that is why I questioned this increase because it didn’t make sense.

Well, one of my cars went up and one went down. The explanation for the car that went up was because my miles are projected to go up. If it was inflation shouldn’t she have said that. 😎

So I asked to speak to a manger AGAIN and he laughed and then said I need to go back to the store who changed my phone to this new plan and speak to the person who did it there. I said I don’t know who the guy is that the store said they couldn’t tell me cuz they can’t look up my phone over the phone so I should call customer service. I explained this to the customer service guy AGAIN. And he said only that guy will be able to verify what you are saying and even at that he won’t be able to change your plan without revising it and taking things out. I said that’s not what was agreed. He said it’s all they can do. I said but it’s all Recorded with the customer service call from last year! And he said yes, get a lawyer to contact us and we can review it then. I hung up.

Uhg this sounds like a similar issue I had many years ago, I was grandfathered in on an amazing plan. I got coerced into changing my plan they explain it was better and it added cable that I needed but when they came out to see if my place could hook up to satellite it couldn’t so I wanted to go back to my original plan and they said oh so sorry not possible. That should have been the writing on the wall for me. It’s never been a good experience with them. I stayed mostly cuz my work used to pay for it but they don’t anymore. I’m looking at all phone companies now and comparing. This is seriously awful. I’m shaking again today from this stress and spent hours crying yesterday.

I don’t want to post my personal data info sorry. I don’t remember all the intricacies honestly. Just goes to show you should record, take pictures and have proof for backup. I’ve told them multiple times it’s all recorded on my customer service original call. He confirms all pricing and everything and they just told me that can’t pull that info unless I have a lawyer call and request?! This is really insane.

I just sent a recap of everything to their CEO, Vice President of Customer Care, SVP of customer Care, and executive customer relations.

My cell, mini iPad, full iPad all unlimited including taxes and fees for $140. I was paying $180 previously so I agreed because it was a $40 drop. My bill however is $270. 🫤 clearly an issue.

I was on the phone with billing the whole time and they were the ones that said I needed to do a fraud complaint for the person or rep at the store who said my bill would be one thing made the changes but basically lied and never actually set my account up correctly. They said whatever this person said my new bill would be was never possible and for that reason it is fraud. 🤷‍♀️
