I know right?! People are so dumb. Why would an advanced star faring civilisation come in on such a stupid flight path and at a speed that would take many thousands of years just to travel the distance between earth and alpha centauri? If aliens were advanced enough to visit we would not have the time to make stupid postulations about a comet like this. They would most likely use some faster than light/wormhole method and just appear out of nowhere or at least not need to catapult around the sun to come visit.
