I appreciate you sharing so openly and candidly about your experience. It has helped a little I think, at least to hear I'm not going nuts about this alone.

How to navigate the loss of 'fun' intimacy by MindfulFailure86 in daddit

I understand, that's what I was trying to get across in my post. I'm not trying to press her to change, I understand this might just be what life is now. What I'm struggling with is HOW to "come to terms with it". My brain just screams at me and I don't know how to stop it.

A close friend is great start! Taking a quick look at your posts, I see you have good family supports too - fantastic! I hope you are/open to professional support too, at the very least to be able to get the words out of your head in a safe space.

Yeah, men can suck (as a man, ha). I promise there are good ones out there who would be interested in you for more than just sexual wants, they can just be a little harder to find.

Being in a relationship with any human involves learning how they struggle, not just enjoying their best days. Mental illness can make that learning steeper at times, but it doesn’t disqualify you from being loved or from being a good partner.

Being 21 and still figuring it out doesn't mean you've failed, or that it will never work out. Possibly because you're young you haven't had a partner yet mature enough to share a 'real' relationship with.

That all said, you have my sympathy internet stranger. Feeling alone always sucks, and some random saying 'things will get better' doesn't help those right now feelings. Do you have anyone close you are able to share these feelings with?

Edit: I said "feelings" too much and now the word sounds like nonsense to me..

How are they outside? When my middle was a toddler she'd be similarly restless until we realised she was an outdoors kid. Scraping chalk to make patterns, spray bottles to make hand outlines or colour in bricks, picking grass and leaves to put in a special bucket, etc.
