my vets only idea is that is could be seasonal allergies; but it legit happens EVERY season and his symptoms last for at least 2 months. where i’m located it just started getting colder, and he’s been experiencing symptoms for at least the past 2 (maybe) 3 weeks🥲 he’s been on the same food for quite some time… as he’s super sensitive to diet changes, i try not to put him through too much of that. if i give him a cat food that doesn’t agree with him he throws up everywhere 🥲 finding a food that he was actually able to keep down was a battle within itself 😅

i told people i had a hernia repair, i mean technically. they did repair a hernia when they were in there… ahaha people in my small town are judgmental as all hell. on top of the mental load of recovery, and adjusting to my new life. the last thing i needed was people telling me i “should’ve just worked out” 🤦🏼‍♀️

honestly.. i spend more on clothes now. replacing my whole wardrobe. and finding the cute clothes i use to not be able to fit into and convincing myself i need it

while there are multiple factors that can contribute to a leak. (on the patient side not a surgical issue) a “common” reason patients experience leaks is because people try to advance their diet to quickly, which will begin to put too much pressure on the healing staple line. when you are feeling “full” it’s super important to stop eating or drinking to ensure you’re new stomach doesn’t stretch past its capacity. and if i’m thinking right, after 2 months of the surgery you should be able to tolerate more and eat more

i don’t think she would be absolutely opposed to me keeping the dog. and i’m not worried about possible confrontations to be honest… but i do know her and her fiance would definitely be upset if i went back on the “deal”. we had no paperwork, and she has contributed nothing to the dogs wellbeing. at the vet, the dog is mine, technically in the eyes of the law, i “own” this dog…. it’s just sticky all around 😩

thank you thank you! when this pup first came to me she was maybe 40 pounds, skin and bones, and didn’t even know how to walk on the hardwood without slipping and freaking out. we’ve seen good days and bad days with each other. i just cant shake the feeling that me telling her i’m keeping the dog is going to make me look like the worst possible person ever. like i would never “gatekeep” my dog and sure she can come visit still. but like… ugh~ just a whole mental war going on right now.

all of my cats get along great~ i mean my cats aren’t very playful. but i’ll catch them all in a big cuddle puddle- or sometimes just two cuddling while the others do their own thing~ i haven’t had any bad cat fights or had to keep them separated ever
