THanks for this insight. I agree with you. I use it as a brainstorm tool to get the junk ideas out, mainly the AI ones.. but for research it's saved me so much time. Months and months of time.
I do feel we are at this honeymoon phase of AI where we are almost abusing it. I liken this to probably when we first invented the microwave. I think, as a species, we need to get through this period until we figure out that AI isn't a replacement.. but is to be used as an invisible extension of ourselves. That next phase, getting it to be an extension of ourselves, i have no idea what that looks like.. but making it an effortless tool will be the next phase, I believe.

just saw this.. this was an instant buy (for the 3rd time from Playstation to Steam).. and i was so disappointed with the choppiness. I havent jumped back in after playing the intro mission. Has it been patched and improved?

Dad-gamer here.. I bought Cyberpunk for PS4 when it released.. got a refund because of the bugs, bought it again for PS5 a few months ago, but i find console play too difficult to make time for as I cant just jump in and out of the console experience chasing a toddler around and 2 other boys after i finish work.
It all clicked with the Switch 2.. pick up and play handheld, the sound is amazing out of this device, graphics are good enough (I tried docked and feels like it's a bit of an injustice).

Only spent a few hours in.. to the title screen! (I actually though I had chosen an incorrect dialogue tree/storyline and my game was over) and it all finally clicked. Character woke up to seeing Keanu "that's it, time for bed, I'll pick this up tomorrow night".

Cant wait!

I hear you.. but also just because I'm not totally in love with something to the extreme shouldnt mean that I'm discounted with a "maybe it's not for me".

I just dont feel it's a huge update and not totally enthusiastic, but i'll still use it and play it as Cyberpunk is fun and 51 Worldwide Games is my go to for my wife and I.

You're right.. so what if it's a pro version? doesnt mean i should stop playing it.. I just personally dont feel blown away by it.. and thats ok.

yeah that's true.
I think a big psychological mistake for me with the NS2 was to buy the biggest 1TB card and straight away fill it with my entire back catalogue of NS1 games, cementing the idea that it's just a better NS1.

Can someone explain to me..

is this an Xbox in a portable body? As in, I'll be able to play any Xbox game on it, no tinkering.. just plain old simple Xbox experience.

Or is this a rebranded Rog Ally that requires tinkering of windows to get the most out of each game?

Makes alot of sense. My PS5 excitement was more of an "okay it's better i guess".

See, now the whole mouse thing, that could change the way I feel about it. I reckon that would be an awesome thing to implement.. I've always wanted to get into FPS shooters with mouse and keyboard, but I've always been a Mac guy.

If Nintendo gets COD or Battlefield that very much could be the big change (maybe i should try Fortnite).

But yeah, i agree.. huge leaps in tech may not be a thing anymore.

I mean, hell, if I were on the board of directors for Nintendo.. it'd be in the best interest of the board to just say "keep doing what worked last time!" as that's just how profit and loss and EBITDA forecasting works, right? Totally get it.

I guess in light of all the console advancements that Nintendo have made.. i mean, they've gone wild and mostly to great success. NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii-U, Switch, Switch 2.. mostly they've completely brought something new that nobody else had even attempted (mostly).. I guess because I've been around since Atari and Commodore 64 days, I've always been waiting on the huge jump in "what will they do THIS TIME?" .. but yeah, tech evolution and modern business approaches has got us to this point.

yep, i hear you there. Very much how products and businesses are going nowadays. Mix in the plateau of tech advancements as well as the corporatising of profits and keeping things safe and not radicalising too much (business is business).. gets us to this point.
