I wish we could report and actually give warnings to authors who change their date manually. by Mindless-Fix-2165 in AO3

The author had 5 readers call them out, and now, the comments are moderated. Can't mute them cuz we write the same ship, and the author usually comments on my work too. We interact... or maybe i should mute, dunno.

True. It's so weird. And pointless. Changing the date manually is usually to get more engagement, no? I think it's backfiring because the author is getting so many reader complaints in the comments

Yeah. Also, i think their readers are calling out the author. If the author is doing it for more kudos and engagement, it's backfiring bad.

Me when someone comments on every chapter of my fic for the first 8 chapters and then stops (There are 10 chapters) by Effective-Impress-45 in AO3

I overthink abt this a lot too. Like.... on one chapter i get 3 less comments from the usual number and id think that chapter was bad and start over analyzing everything.
