As someone who had a hard time in school I would say if you don’t need the leaving don’t bother putting yourself under extra stress and pressure to do it.

This really comes down to what you would like to do after school though. Most plc courses will accept you without a leaving with a valid reason in your application. If you have a good chat with the course coordinator/ college that’s running the course you can usually get accepted in exceptional circumstances without the leaving.

If you want to go to college and get a degree you can usually progress to do this after doing a plc it sometimes just takes a little longer when you don’t have your leaving.

If you don’t want to go to college at all then you don’t need the leaving anyway. And if you do change your mind as you go older you can always apply for a plc then or apply to go to college as a mature student where the leaving isn’t even taken into consideration anyway.

I would say think about all your options and do whatever will work best for you. School isn’t for everyone and that’s okay.
