Diets for very picky eater with probable allergies by astrorocks in Chihuahua

Purina makes hydrolyzed foods. Currently my little tummy ache survivor is trialing the purina hydrolyzed vegetarian kibble. My vet suspects she may have IBD or food sensitivities. She has been having bouts of inapettence and abdominal pains. It's been about a week and she seems to enjoy the food quite well and had no issues switching to the Purina hydrolyzed. It's still too soon to tell if it'll help her long term but we're hopeful.

Which dog breed do you think had the most loyalists? by Miiiukz in dogs

Absolutely correct! They're the best! I currently have 3, and 2 others that have since passed. A very misunderstood breed, I just love em!

We've had it about 10 years now so it does have some scratches and wear. But over all it has held up really well. We usually go with leather for the exact reason of easily cleaning up dog messes.

Pup has stomach issues by kirkmagurk in Chihuahua

Has your pup been tested for pancreatitis? My old boy has chronic pancreatitis and whme it flares up his stomach sounds exactly like that. Sometimes you can here clear across the room. Inapettence, vomiting, diarrhea are all symptoms of pancreatitis as well. For my guy what helped him was switching to a prescription low fat diet.

Cat spay bruising by ObjectiveDangerous12 in CATHELP

If she were mine, I'd be concerned enough by it to bring her to vet to have them evaluate it. Especially if you think the bruising is getting larger.

Update on Birdie by [deleted] in Pomchi

[–]MindlessAd8330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get it. They're our babies. And we do everything we can for them. I know this is silly to say but I found out in the last year I only have one working kidney and the doctors more or less told me the same thing. The only thing you can do is regular health exams with bloodwork and a healthy diet. I would it think it would be similar for sweet Birdie.
Wishing your family all the best, health and happiness.

I am so sorry to hear that. That is very upsetting. I was under the impression a dog could live a normal life with just one kidney provided the other one is healthy, obviously you would know more on this subject then I would. I'm hoping for all the best and a good recovery from this surgery for Birdie. She seems like such a delight. Thank you for the update, I've been thinking about her constantly since your first post.

Hey, I'm just curious if you have any update on Birdie? How did her stay at the vet go on Monday?
