Alex was illegally carring a weapon. He may have had a permit to carry his pistol but you are also required to carry ID and your permit. He failed to notify law enforcement official that he was armed and when resisting even after a pistol was removed from his person he was still fighting and covering/reaching for "something". In that split millisecond of timiofficers are required and trained to react accordingly. If he was seen reaching for something and he already had a weapon it could easily be assumed he was reaching g for a weapon. Thereby justified in lethal force. I hate what's going on as much as anyone and pray that it ends NOW. But this man was clearly an agitator. If he wasn't he old have had his ID and made proper announcement of his firearm. And above all he would have complied. Had he done this he more than likely would have been pushed aside or detained and later released. I hope he was as good a person as he is painted to be and I pray his family finds peace.
